i have always liked this pistol

none of the local dealers can get it...never seen it at a show....have not even seen a used one in 2 years

are these guns still being made....and if so...why are they not importing them in any quantity?

The P7M8 was in the 2002 catalog.

HK dealers are getting harder to find, though, since HK USA decided to shoot themselves in the foot with their assinine new marketing scheme a few years back.

Bachman had a new one for $1,295 at the gun show yesterday in Houston.

It took me about 2 months by my new one came in in october 2002 date code. My understanding from a hk rep I talked to at the gun shop is that they only make batches of them once a year so one they are gone y ou have to wait until the next batch is made. Who knows how accurate that is. I paid around 1265 for mine plus I bought six extra mags at 45 a peice. But it is all off right now ar robar for np3.

I know a local dealer that waited almost 4 months to get the 2 he ordered. I'll bet they get more scarce until new ownership decides what they're going to do w/ the P7-line :(

Why the heck doesn't HK make more of these, they seem to fly right off the shelves every time I see them.

Kahr carrier - you have gunshow in Nothern CA? I stopped going a couple years ago (in Southern CA) when they basically became accessory/clothing shows :(

When you say P7, do you mean P7M8, P7M13, or P7-PSP?

The M8's are much more numerous in the states. The PSP is much less common. The M8 has the typical HK mag release next to the trigger guard, the PSP is a heel release. The M13 is the double stack variety of the M8.

Check out parkcitiestactical.com and HKPRO.com

There are often P7's for sale there.

Wouldn't mind having another P7? I hope they're going to be made forever...heck, having a polymer backup P7 that doesn't heat up for like...$800 wouldn't be a bad deal, either.

If anybody is interested

I know where there are 3 P7's right now. One is a M13 for about 1299.00, the other is a used P7 for 899. And the other Dealer has a brand new P7 for 1250.00. I am in Washington State.

I have never had a problem locating a p7m8, whether used or new. Now the m13, and m10(.40 version), are another story, along with the PSP. I have yet to find either of them anywhere here in southern Michigan, even though I haven't intensely searched.:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

A few monhs ago, here in Austin, I walked in one of the local gun stores to find 2 P7-PSPs sitting in the used guns display case. One had a bit more bluing worn off, but both appeared quite good internally. Less than $800 a piece. Had to pick one up for myself.

Sweet shooter, but danged if it don't get hot QUICK.

Just saw two P7M8's at a local shop today. One was ok,had some wear , sight paint wearing off, $995. Other was in better shape, store had it it listed as "Mint!" $1199. Both had the Plum slide thing going on. I put money down on a Walther P5!

Bandaid, do you want new or used and how much are you willing to pay? I saw some NIB, 2001 production for $1200 ea.

I've seen a NIB P7M8 and a NIB P7 PSP within the past month.

Saw a nickel plated P7M13 too!

Still in production.

Only the H&K P7M8 is still in (limited) production. NIB P7M8 come from authorized H&K dealers.

The PSP & P7M13 have long since been discontinued.

Lots of the "NIB" P7s for sale aren't. Possibly a few 'safe queens', more likely 'LNIB' and most likely utter salesman BS.

The P7s just hold up very well, my P7M13 looks brand new. My PSP looks almost new.

thanks for all the replies

i will check with my favorite local dealer to see what he can do ...he has stocked a lot of HK in the past...although i do know they have been a pain to get product out of recently
