hk style claw mount

i'm starting to see the gsg5 .22lr carbine come back. i bought a first anniversary edition but wanted it in all black, that's all they had at the time. bummer after my purchase the black ones arrived. i would not recommend getting this nickle finish one cause the finish is cheap, mosquito spray ate it up and turned gray. anyways it's a neat little gun and i want to trick it out with a handguard rail and red dot. i was wondering if the hk style claw mount is a stable platform or better yet the mount shown below where it connects to hand guard?

trigga. I'm not familiar with the GSG platform, but the claw works great on G3's and clones. I really like mine.

I use a clone of the HK claw mount and it works fine. I'm not sure how the one you showed actually connects but if it is tied to the handguard it will be worse than useless. The handguards move around to much to be viable for optics mounting. You can find the clone claw mounts with a built in picatinny rail on the bay of e for around $20-25.
