I have some questions about my HK. I have a perfect in every measure USP 40 that I bought used in 2001. I have put close to 1000 rounds through it with no issues so far. Since 1994 (the year my gun was born) there have been a few up-grades from HK.

I reciently did a full re-build on a 9mm Bersa and it made a night and day difference to the guns preformance. I read that in 1995 and 1996 HK made sme minor changes to the USP. Is the new recoil spring interchangable with my 94 version? How often would you guys recomend spring replacement on your avarage HG? Would it make a big difference to upgrade to the new barrel style, and is it interchangable?

Thanks

Mike

I have an older USP 9 --has std rifling in barrel, non-captured recoil spring & no internal lock...I did put a new spring in when I bought it but that's all....she's a great performer. Me, I know why they did the upgrades as an evolution of the design, but they've all been great guns! I wouldn't worry about it.
