I grabbed a pound of this stuff from a lgs, but can't find much in the way of load data for it. Their website only list loads for berrys 180 grain and hornady xtp. Does anybody know anything about this stuff, and would the rmr thickly plated bullets be the same as berrys?

Rocky Mountain says their bullets have a 11-12 BHN lead core, and that they're harder than most other plated bullet makers. Between that and being thick plated, I'd guess those bullets are closer to a FMJ to some degree.

The Berry's and RMR's are both FN. I don't have any of the 180 gr. of Berry's, or I'd measure the length of the bullet to give you an idea of seating depth. Maybe someone that has said Berry's bullet can do that for you.

If it was me, I'd definitely begin at the starting load off Hodgdon's data.

I too, have just purchased some CFE Pistol and have been looking at the data. I'm going mostly for to see how the powder does with lead bullets.

I think this powder has been on the market going on a year, give or take. Hopefully new reload manuals will be coming out soon with CFE Pistol listed.

This is the 1st thread here at THR that I could find mentioning the "new" powder. You'd think the bullet makers back then were able to do their testing for the next publications. Dated 12/6/13

There have been other threads for this powder.

I have CFE Pistol ordered from Recob's. I also have RMR TP and Berry's 180 gr bullets.

I plan to use Hodgdon's load data for Berry's plated bullets (BERB) for RMR plated bullet work up.

Hodgdon's 2015 reloading magazine is on news stands here in Knoxville, TN. I'm sure the web site data has been updated to match.

Since other companies' printed material has not been re-released recently, I doubt much data will be found from other sources.

I almost bought some at the local gun show today but spotted an 8 lb jug of Accurate 2230. I had a greater need for the rifle powder at this time.
