Just for the record, guys, don't misunderstand--that video was something off of youtube and was not posted by the OP.

Ok, just wana keep things clear.

-And I'd love to get either of those big guys in my sights, but I'll stick with my rifle. ;)

I'm not one to have an extra grand layin around for the fines. :D

Purgatory, I was just commenting on the video, no matter who made it. Sorry for any confusion.
I've been hunting all my life, so I'm not opposed to killing some animals. But killing them is what I'm talking about, and doing it quickly. Not what these sick freaks did which did nothing but maim a bunch of animals. How many of those pigs are now blind and or deaf, crippled? Now they're going to starve to death.
Ok, back on topic now. Sorry.
Anybody in central Florida area have some hogs they need help getting rid of? That big boy would be good if you cooked him deep pit style.

Off topic, but here's a pic of a long haired boar that I've posted before. 130 grain Hornady Interlock .270 bullet behind and slightly under the ear.

This fat sow (on the left :scrutiny:) I shot with a 150 grain .300 Win Mag...same spot behind the ear.

Anyone hunting these with .223 and iron sights? I'm planning a hunt for the February/March timeframe and thinking of using my AR.

I did when I owned my H-BAR. The problem I ran into with irons was that many times it was to dark to be sure of accurate shot placement. I have a flat top V-Match now with a Burris Fullfield II (made in USA) 3X9X40. It extends my hunting time till after dark under the right conditions. The problem I have now is, my youngest Daughter thinks its hers.

Oh, you're good, Coastie. I wasn't addressing anyone particular, either, I just didn't want Tcrocker catchin a bad rap. ;)

To be honest, if all the carcasses were launched sky-high once they were actual DEAD carcasses, I wouldn't have mentioned someone getting in trouble. It was that first explosion with a crowd of live pigs around it that caused me concern.

If a game warden had caught sight of that, I'm sincerely curious what the charges would be. Not only was that NOT a clean kill, but I'm not convinced ANY of them were killed at all. -And causing any animal to live out the rest of it's, possibly few, days minus it's jaw or side of it's face or missing a leg, etc. wouldn't make me feel too manly.

P.S. MAN, I hope my hog hunt ends like Cocked&Locked's did. That's a fine freezer fillin' oinker, there.

Moon season of this month started Monday the 16th, so next Friday and Saturday I’m going to the woods at night again, looking for bacon, lol.

The moon will be something like this, providing more than enough light

It doesn’t have to be an ear shot, lol

And this time it doesn’t have to be heavy or large, I just want it to fit nicely on the car’s trunk.

That pink slipper isn’t mine! Lololol it’s my girlfriend’s

Fernando with the great pics. :)

Boy, that's the Sandman shot, isn't it? Turns 'em off like a lightswitch.

That pig is CHILLIN!

Happy as a Pig in.....a Trunk! :D

(I think we'll let the pink flip-flop slide. -THIS time. :scrutiny:)

You could see those cars from Saudi Arabia deserts to African plains, from Asia to Western Europe, and I bet you had some in North America too. There is a reason for it. Actually, there are lots of reasons. You can use it in the city, in the road for tourism or off road to go almost everywhere. They are steel armored below the engine, have super reliable mechanics and they don’t leave you hanged. Mine has more than 1.038.000 km. That’s almost 25 laps to the planet's perimeter.

And boars are not the only thing that I put in the Mercedes’s trunk: in summertime, I put in there a 3 meter Honda marine boat with two engines (one gasoline and other electric), lololol, and the boat’s bottom is made of aluminium plates.

Here are my slippers, lololol:

Ps: in Lisbon I drive a Mitsubishi turbo-charged diesel, but it is not near as good as the Mercedes because I cannot cross rivers with it ;)

Look what happens when you ask someone else to take you a picture, lolol:

You get half a boar, a sleeping dog and you don’t even get time to take your hat. I don’t remember if was my girlfriend or my father that took this crappy picture, lol, but was surely one of them.

You can see more slippers of mine :D ;)

Some boars gain heavy/high density hair in winter (when your pic was taken) and lose it in summer time. It's common in European boars and I think it may happen with yours too.

Do you know if there are any closer to Tuscaloosa County? I've got a real desire to bring home a 70 or so pound hog, 30-06 nosler intact or no.

Happyhunting this is off the WMA websight hope this helps.
