Hogue S&W500 grip tore open?

Have any if you ever torn open or heard of anyone tearing open a Hogue S&W500 grip before? I've got it on my S&W 69, and it did not survive very long. The whole gun has about 1400rds through it, I'd guess less than half were with the Hogue grip on it.

Email hogue about it. They're very responsive and would probably replace it for you.

Yeah I was thinking I'd go through S&W first seeing as they are the only vendor of them, Hogue second if that is unsuccessful. Just haven't done it since it happened today being a Sunday.

Mainly just curious if anyone else has experienced similar.
