Hogues on a 226

It seems no matter what kind I try, be it the wrap around (finger grooved) or the flat panel (non wrap around) hogue grips, they seem to make the grip too bulky.

I want some comfy aftermarket grips because the stock ones are plastic and have a very coarse finish to them.

Is there any other good alternative to this?

Uncle Mikes aka Michaels Of Oregon makes a set of hard rubber grip panels that match the dimensions of the factory plastic.
They are harder than Hogue rubber grips and do not tend to catch on covering garments.
