+1 on the Austin part, but I rather like DFW and will be moving back whenever I can. We can't save Cali, but we can save Dallas.:neener:

Now now, leave the FW part out. I live in Ft Worth, and we're firmly planted in the State of Texas. It's my neighbor to the East that worries me.

Move back! Just stay out of Dallas County.

I know, it's been a while and I really haven't kept an ear to the ground, but are they still fighting over the new Cowboys' stadium? or that horrible riverfront business district in Dallas?

To keep gun related, I used to go to and really liked the Quail Creek range out on 35W north of Alliance and the Speedway. Kinda miss that range.

The Dallas DA must be a real wimp if he won't just turn the guy loose. Sounds like a pretty clear cut case from the report anyway.

And people wonder why I say Dallas isn't really part of Texas anymore.......

Why waste a Grand Jury's time with this, they could be out indicting Tom DeLays friends. :scrutiny:

AFAIK, every time a shooting happens, they run the shooter through the system so that he/she is no-billed and protected via double jeopardy laws...

Nope did not say in the report that the robber shot, just that the clerk shot.
From the initial post in the thread. "Police said the suspect entered the business in the 9900 block of Garland Road around 8:50 p.m., pulled out a weapon and fired it at the store employee."

Forget the press spin

all shootings will go to a Grand Jury.
If it is a clean as some of the reports indicate, he will be no-billed.

As far as taking the BG to Baylor instead of Parkland, that depends on which of the trauma centers are in the rotation for trauma cases. Parkland, Baylor, or Methodist, depending on the shift.

One of the local news channels showed the video from the store cameras the other night. Looks like a perfectly fine job of self-defense to me.

The clerk also is the store owner. Nobody's getting fired.

Regards,
Rabbit.
