Fantastic! The kid kept his cool and everyone is well, except for the BG. Unfortunately I smell a lawsuit once the man is released from jail. It shouldn't be ..... it shouldn't be.

what about the mom? No disrespect to the family, but she declined to hold the gun when an intruder was at the door and left the job to her own son?

My wife enjoys shooting but it isn't a priority for her. It concerns me when I see the "it won't happen to us" attitude in her. I want her to be able to handle a situation when I'm not around but I fear she might react the same as this woman. I don't ever force her to go to the range with me but I would like her to go at least enough to be comfortable around firearms.

The irony in all of this is that you will never, ever see this young man feted on any network TV or newpaper. What he did, represents the good thing that occurs when good people have the appropriate tools to protect themselves.
If you doubt there is bias, then wait to see all the media attention he gets.
