I was thinking along the lines of yhtomit. Need to have cameras with sound outside your house. That way your surviving family will be able to prove that you were justified and they were not. That way at least they would be able to give you a proper funeral with the money from the lawsuit.

:scrutiny: Guns is evil. They kills folks! Evil guns!! Bad guns!! Evil, bad people with evil and bad guns! Especially (pause) them black guns! Thems like black majic...they'll kill ya dead ifin' ya just look at 'em! Yessiree Bob...theys evil! :what:

Glad I don't own any (pause) guns.

Where IS the outrage. If no legal action is taken against the Elgin PD or any other PD for that matter, these incidents are only going to become more and more common and eventually be considered normal practice.

The answer is to take out your vengeance on the politicians that allow this to happen. That will change things very quickly. If you replace the mayor, he can replace the police chief with someone who actually believes in the constitution.

This will not stop until the people that control LE make it stop.

armed citizens

If the elderly couple in Elgin had been armed when the police entered, I think one or possibly both might have been killed.

Read the story of Donald Scott, shot to death in a police raid in his home in 1992:

On October 2, 1992 Malibu California millionaire Donald Scott was shot to death inside his own home, during a raid by Los Angeles Sheriff's Department and agents from five federal law enforcement agencies. The Scotts were awakened by the sound of the police breaking down their door. Scott's wife, Frances, ran downstairs to find her house swarming with men with guns aimed at her. She screamed "don't shoot me, don't kill me." Donald Scott, recovering from recent cataract surgery, got his gun and ran to the defense of his wife. When he emerged at the top of the stairs, holding his gun over his head, the officers told him to lower the gun. As he did, they shot him to death. The warrant was for evidence of the cultivation of marijuana, but no illegal activity was discovered at the Scott ranch. The report of the Ventura County District Attorney, Michael Bradbury, concluded that the police lied to obtain the search warrant, that there had never been any marijuana cultivation on the property, and that the raid was motivated by a desire to forfeit the multi-million dollar ranch. Despite the DA's dramatic conclusions, no officer was ever indicted, or even lightly disciplined for the lies or the killing. This is an outrageous abuse of police power.
