If this thread is overused please feel free to delete it. We all want to save money and alot of folks have stuff they use for slicking up their guns right after cleaning AND for longer term storage. I'll start. I use marvel mystery oil on my guns after cleaning. It is cheap, smells good and does not dry out. I use a 50/50 mix of marvel and white lithium grease for long term storage. It,too, is cheap, smells good and will not dry out. What do you use. Please, no Ed's Red. It is wonderful but pretty well known.

I use Magic Lube. It is a teflon based lubricant found at most pool stores and Home Depot/Lowes in the plumbing section.
They also have a silicone base version called Magic Lube II.

I bought a can of Tri-Flow for $7. It lasted for more than 10 years of gun lubing, a whopping 70 cents a year. I can't see fooling around with anything else in the mistaken belief that I'm "saving money".
