So now every gun that anybody has ever had a negative experience with, sucks?

Man, I guess it's time we design a new gun that doesn't suck.

Then not let anybody use it so that it too doesn't suck lol
Yep, probably every design sucks for someone somewhere. Those same may not suck for everyone everywhere, or even a few people a few places. The wonderful thing is I can state "my" opinion. You don't have to agree with it. No one does, but I will continue to state it based, as I said, on personal experience.

I don't think much of the AK either, but I really do like the M1 and the M14. I know folks who like Ak's. and hate M1's and M14's. They are entitled to their opinion.

With all respect, I don't think they used coal oil (or at least they should not have). More likely they used linseed oil which won't rot the wood and still provides an excellent means of waterproofing a wood stock.
We used Tung Oil, not linseed oil or kerosene -- I nvber heard of anyone using kerosene on a stock.
