Homemade primer catch box for my Lee challenger.

That looks like one of the original Challenger presses; the ones that mount an angle.

I had two of those, gave one away and kept the other. I seldom use it, especially for depriming, because I dislike both chasing errant primers and digging them out of that awkward catch-box that was designed into that press.

That actually looks like it would work fairly well. Good idea.

It is an angled original. I love mine. Got it second hand a few years back. The angle is what does it for me. I like the overall feel of it but it is somewhat cheap feeling in the linkage.

The original catch box, I’ve tried using a piece of cardboard leaned up to the press to direct the primers into the bin. Then I tried a small box that positioned close and that wasn’t great. This new design, I think will be the last We’ll see how many it catches on a long run.

I’d like to try hornadys take on the angled press.

I got one for my older RCBS RS2 from a dated looking website after googling RCBS RS2 primer catcher. The nice thing is that a 1/2" ID piece of tube can be put on it so that it can drop the old primers into a coffee can similar to the way I've seen some Lee primer catchers work.
