I have been happily shooting Hornady 200 gr C/T SWCs in my BlackHawk (over 7.1 grs of Trail Boss).
I decided to try a different powder (Unique) and different bullet weights - so I orderd 230 gr RN and 255 gr FP (both Hornady.
I shot 100 rounds of the 255 on Sunday, and liked it quite a bit.
I didn't realize until last night that Horndy does not list a load for the 230 gr RNs in their reloading manual - at least not in 45 LC, they only list 45 ACP. I am a little nervous about using non-published loads. I am a neophyte reloader, and happy to still have all my fingers and toes.
Should I extrapolate a load for the 230 grs (halfway between the published 200 and 255 loads), or give the 230 gr bullets to a friend who reloads for 45 ACP?
