Hornady Bullet Feeder Die

Just in case someone runs into the same problem -- the bullets were stuck inside the collet B (somehow it shrunk, not allowing bullets thru at all, not just when they were supposed to be pinched by collet B when pushed from the bottom by collet A), so I called Hornady and they're sending me the new collet B.

I just found this forum and this post so I apolgize for resurrecting an old post. I want to put a bullet feed tube onto my Piggyback which I only use for .223 but I'm not knowledgeable enough to know what I need to buy. Do I just need a Mr. Bulletfeeder die assembly and some tube of the appropriate diameter or is there more involved? I envision just having a batch of preloaded tubes ready in the same manner as I do for primers.

I am not familiar with what you are talking about and would like to know more. Please when you get this set-up finished I would like to know more.

You you don't want a collator, all you need is the "dropper".

I question the usefulness of one without a collator though, only because I have had one without a collator before.

In any case a .223 dropper like this KISS unit

Needs a relatively tall bullet colum to tamp the bullets into the case mouth so the don't fall out moving to the seating station (note the on off switch for the collator at the top).

This is not that critical on pistol rounds because they are belled at the mouth, no so for rifle.

Thank you jmorris for your input. I was ignorant of the correct terminology. As you say, I need the "dropper" which I assume is the tube and the "die" at the base of the tube. Am I correct in assuming this? Do you know if the KISS unit is still available and where to get it?

Sorry for so many questions, this is a new experience for me. I live in the middle of prairie dog heaven and really want to hit them hard in the spring.
