So, I found a used Hornady LNL AP with a broken sub plate for $225 and ended up just trading a good amount of bullets for it. I figured that I could get it up and running for about $100 more in parts.

So, when it got here I looked at all the parts it came with to see what I would need to order. Well, it came with extra primer pickup tubes, 8 shell plates, 12 lnl bushings, an extra bullet tray, 4 of the case retainer springs, and a competition pistol powder measure insert. However, I would need a new sub plate, large primer slide, primer tube housing, and primer housing cap.

So, I called up Hornady to let them know what I needed. I explained that I bought the press used and I knew that it had a broken sub plate when I got it. I explained that the other parts were lost and would need to be replaced. They took down my order and already had my information from when I registered my first LNL AP and got the free bullets. So, the parts came in at well over $100 so I asked them if they needed a credit card number. They refused to let me pay for any of it and five seconds after I got off the phone I got an order confirmation email and then shortly after that I got a shipping confirmation email.

Anyway, Hornady did a good job keeping me as a customer. In fact, I think a case feeder is the next item on my list.

Wow! They've always been extra generous with me as well.

I purchased my LNL when they offered 1000 free bullets. They lost my redemption form and we're extremely backorder once they found it. So instead of giving me 1000 180 grain 44 xtp's they sent me 1000 240 grain bullets! I was really pleased.

Awesome. I think Hornady LNL AP is going to be my next progressive press.

I keep telling my wife that getting 500 free .308 bullets is like getting the press kit for $299. ;)

Who knows, maybe Santa will take notice. :D

They completely rebuilt my old Hornady Pro-Jector press, after loading roughly 300,000+ rounds on it, at no charge. The list of replacement parts they put on was as long as my arm.

Great people to deal with, and their answering machine is a hoot.

Hope this helps.

Wow thats great to hear. I bought a LNL AP as my first press and this really makes me happy to hear that hornady cares so much about their customers. Thanks for letting us know!

They are channeling Dillon. They realized if they want to succeed then they need to emulate the leader. A few years ago when I got my LNL and was haveing problems with bridging in the pistol rotor and insert, dispensing nothing but short or squibb loads, with Unique their idea of helping was to tell me: "I should switch to a different powder." When they didn't have a .45 acp size shell plate they said I would have to wait a couple months till they made more, so I called around myself and finally found ONE in stock. Now I realize what a rare and unusual caliber .45 acp is.........

Its good they saw the need for better CS.

From your post I can tell they have changed.

Yep--they're terrific. Once they've got your shipping address on file--e.g., from the bullet rebate program--you can hardly get off the phone with them without their sending you something for free.

No way I'm buying that...maybe ten seconds.

I also have had nothing but good response from Hornady's customer service. I had some minor problems with my first LNL AP press that could not be resolved over the phone, so they had UPS pick it up and sent back to them for inspection. I had the press back in 7 days with everything working perfectly. They even called me to see if I was having any problems. I have over 11,000 rounds loaded of this press without any issues. In fact, I recently bought another LNL AP so I can have one for small primer and large primer. These folks really want to satisfy their customers.
