Just wanted to let you guys know I am very pleased with Hornady's customer service. I am having trouble with a new shell plate not cycling in my LNL AP. Called them up and a new one is in the mail. Told me if new one works I can send the old one back if I want. Also said they have never ehard of this happening, but my other shell plates are working great. This one will not turn hardly at all.

They completely rebuilt my old worn out Pro-Jector that I bought 22 years ago, and all it cost me was the shipping one way. The press wasn't broken, just worn from several hundred thousands of rounds through it.

Hope this helps.

Fred

Hornady LNL press

Hi guys!
I'm new to this so bear with me. I got a hornady LNL for Christmas and ordered a #45 shell holder on 12/30. Cabelas told me it was back-ordered and it would come to me directly for hornady. Called today to check status and was told it would still be 2-3 more weeks. Tried to order two other shell holders (1 & 16 ). Guess what? Both on back-order. What good does a nice press do you with no shell plates? :(

Welcome to the forum.

Due to Hornady's bullet promotion, there was a large run on the presses and accessories. They have been back ordered for several months, but they'll show up. The common calibers went first, and there are some that are still available. I was able to get a shell plate for the .45 Colt, but some others I ordered are still back ordered.

Hope this helps.

Fred

Same Here

I have had the same problem with Cabelas' I ordered a number 1, 6 and 16 and two same shell holders. I ordered these in Mid December and have received two of the shell holders and a number one shell plate after six weeks.

When you call Cabelas' they just ask if you want to cancel the order and give some unfounded date just out far enough to keep you on the hook.

I see these products on Hornady's site for almost double the price,,,maybe not quite that bad, but, I'll bet those order's take preference?

I guess I got Lucky. I found a LnL press last Friday at a small dealer in stock with RCBS dies. I called everywhere looking for shell plate #8 for 9mm, couldn't believe it when Cabela's said they had it in stock. I'm usually the one that calls and they say " we just sold the last one "

BTW..As of today, the dealer still has 1 LnL in stock with the ezject, if anyone 's looking for one pm me.

The screws holding my shell plate base were working loose, and would not stay tight for even 100 rounds, so I called Hornady last year and they said send it in. Cost me less than $20 shipping.

They completely rebuilt the press. Had over a page of parts listed on the work order. Included things that were not broken like new primer feed system. It was gone a couple weeks.

No charge.

For you new guys who are backed up in the queue, hang in there, it will be worth the wait. Seems like there is a shortage/backlog on all things for reloading and shooting. Small primers are scarce around here. Either it's fear of us Democrats, or the result of six years of war, who knows.
