Hornady die bushing rant.

The shims are because of the differences between deck heights between 2 separate mfg's presses(1 a progressive, 1 a SS) not because of anything that has to do with the bushings. The bushing are pricey but once you use them, you really learn to appreciate the quickness and ease of die removal.

Anyone interested in a shim, if you have the adaptor in your RC, take a seater die(any pistol caliber) and seat a bullet in the RC(leave it plenty long), measure accurately, then put the die in the LNL and run the round through. measure the difference. Each shim may need to be different hieghts, mine just came to .234".
