Hello all, I did a search and found out about the issues with the Lee Fcd and how to deal with that problem, but found nothing about any length problems with the other three dies. I am looking to buy a new press other than Lee and was told by a friend of mine that the older Lee dies are too short to work in a LNL. Has anyone ever run into this problem? All of my dies are 13-14 years old so I am sure they are considered older ones.

I have been going between the LNL and the RCBS Pro 2000. If I could use my dies in the LNL it would be a big price difference between them with the free bullet offer from Hornady. If no one knows maybe somebody with a newer set of dies could measure the length of the threads for me to compare.

Thanks for any help

I have the LNL AP, and yes, some dies are short. It's a simple fix.

Remove the lock ring. Drill and tap the side of the LNL bushing to accept the hex lock screw, and your good to go.
