For anyone who is thinking about getting into reloading, here is a very good press"kit" that gives you all you need except dies and perhaps a caliper.
Yes, there are other kits out there. NO you don't need a Dillon 650 progressive to start with.
No need to "buy once" and not cry at all.

If you want to begin and learn and always have a decent single stage kit, here it is. Maybe cheaper elsewhere I don't know, just got a email flier. and MidSouth is a good company.

Hornady bullet promotion also.

Good post Rule3

It is also a great solution to the beginners gear quandary. Good solid hardware at a fair price. A few things to consider. As you mention a caliper. The Steel powder measure is fantastic but not sure if it comes with a rotor drum for handgun sized powder charges or do you have to buy it as an option? Also would probably want to get a suitable rifle cartridge trimmer and of course some sort of case cleaning device. But having said all that a good deal if you ask me. That or the RCBS Supreme Master kit which is also on sale.

I have always thought the RCBS kit was a good one also, why do they have a Nosler manual and not a SPEER??o_O Nosler is not part of VISTA I don't believe?

I have an RCBS kit and it came with a Speer manual. But I have noticed in recent that they advertise it with the Nosler. I have both manuals and I feel that the Speer has more data and is better presented than the Nosler. But for the same reason, Nosler not being part of Vista, I have tried to figure out why the Nosler? The only thing I can speculate is RCBS got a smoking deal on crates of Nosler manuals.

I started reloading in 73 with a single stage press. Still use the press to seat rifle bullets. Nothing wrong with starting out with one. Best way to go learn how to reload.

LOL!
Other than rifle hunting loads do many folks use Nosler bullets??

Hornady Classic kit was a great start for me several years ago. It let me practice carefully. I still use it for rifle cartridges. Last year I added an LnL for pistol work.
