I could shoot off of any horse I had...realoading was a bit tough, though. 
Actually, I have only shoot off of one of my horses. We had a dog nipping at our heels and I had a Ruger Single-Six strapped to my hip, cowboy style. I drew, turned and fired, and my horse never even flinched. A bigger caliber and I may have had some problems. I have lots of stories from riding in the Texas back country. Never a dull moment.
