Anyone like Burris scopes? I've had the recommend by two top notch hunters I know and also a guy or two on here. Interested in the fullfield 2 2-7x for a lever action 45-70.

What do you guys think of that model?

I replaced my Tasco  with a FullField E1. WORLD of difference. This is the most expensive piece of glass I have ever bought, and have absolutely no regrets.

I have no prejudice against them, some of my best friends are Burris. I had a Fullfield II 2-7x35 on my Marlin 336 for several years and two Fullfield II 3-9x40's, one on a 6.5x55 and the other on a 30-06. I upgraded to two Leupolds and a Meopta because for a couple of years I got 60% off MSRP on several scope brands.

The Fullfield II is my second favorite scope under $200.00 and for a long time was my favorite but it has been supplanted by the Minox ZV 3 line. On a lever gun I'd get a Fullfield II 2-7 though because the lowest magnification the Minox comes in is 3-9.

Just between us girls, I haven't encountered a situation with my new scopes that the Burris scopes wouldn't have handled just fine.

i just bought a msr .223 3x9-40 for on a light 223 rifle, pro,s clear-focus ring does not turn with the power ring- clicks pretty good- forever warranty, no questions asked(about time), con,s heavy to me-made in the phillipines(if it matters) and about the same price as a verix 1 3x9 leupold. eastbank.

I've had very good luck with Burris FF-II's in 3-9X40. In fact I think that it is probably the most value for the dollar in a 3-9X40 scope. At around $200 it compares very favorably to a $300 Leupold VX-2. Actually you have to pay $350 for a VX-2 with a BDC reticle that comes on the Burris for $200ish.

I'll be honest, I've never even had a Burris 2-7X version in my hands, never looked through one. The only negative that I can pinpoint is that the adjustments are 1/2" at 100 yards vs 1/4" on most scopes. It could make getting it zeroed at 100 yards or farther less precise. Probably not an issue on your rifle.

But... simply based on years of reading posts here and on other gun related forums I've read some negative reviews on the 2-7X version from people whose opinions I trust. I don't think it is a bad scope, you could certainly do worse. I could highly recommend the 3-9X40 even though it is probably more scope than you need. I just think it is a better scope.

I have used and would recommend the Redfield Revolution or Leupold VX-1. The Redfield is close in price to the Burris and the Leupold isn't too much more. A 2-7X or 1-4X is probably ideal for your rifle.

Never used one of these, but hear too much good about them to ignore it.

I have used these and like them.

I just realized this was on sale. At this price this is the way to go.

I don't know the model but I've an 8-32 50 mm on my 308 700BDL very nice scope and as I recall cost more than the rifle.

I had a Burris AR-332. When I first got it, I tortured tested the crap out of it. I was pleased (and honestly a little surprised) that it did not fail any of my tests.

That said, it didn't take long for me to really dislike the reticle.

well I made the trip to cabelas to check it out after them saying they had one online and it was the scout version. I have to find a place to look through one.

I had a ff2 2-7x35. Then I bought a vortex diamondback 1.5-5x32 (?) And from 2-5x the vortex was significantly brighter with a much larger field of view. I sold the Burris. It was a fine scope, but if I can get better for cheaper, that's what I'm going to do.

I'm a big fan of the Fullfield II 4.5-14x42. I bought one, compared it carefully to my Vortex Viper and Sightron SII scopes that cost about $400 street price, found it slightly better than those at any given magnification, and bought 3 more of Burris scopes. It's the only Burris model I own, but I wouldn't hesitate to try another if I had a need.

I got a Burris C4. I put it on my .270 w/ my hand load and dialed it in at 100 yds. I sent the hand load info in to Burris and they sent me a elevation turret tailored to my load. By golly, it works as advertised. I was shooting 1+ MOA out to 200 yds when I dialed it out to 200, and 300 yds when I dialed up to 300.

I have a Burris Full Field 3-9x40 on my Ruger American 30-06, zero complaints, holds the rifle to a sub MOA at 100yrds on my handloads. Plenty good enough for hunting!

I have 3 burris scopes, a fullfield 2, fullfield e1. And xtr 2. I like them all. Xtr isn't the clearest but plenty good for the price and features it has. I just put a 4.5 -14 fullfield e1 on a new rifle and I would put the clarity up on this one against ANYTHING !! They are the best scopes for the price that I have found.

Another Fullfield II 4.5 X 14, mounted on a .308 bolt gun, was fortunate to buy mine during a sale which included a free spotting scope.

Was in the market for another scope to put on a .223 varmint rifle and was about to pull the trigger on another Fullfield but went for a Vortex Diamondback.

I would give a slight edge to the FFII.

Yep Dad just put a Vortex Diamondback on his 6.5cm. I shot his and the 308 with the FF E1 side by side. No comparison how much crisper the image was on the Burris. If anyone has to buy a scope, Ive ordered 3 in the last 8 months from Tactical Wholesalers. Unreal how much cheaper they are!! On these 3 scopes alone I saved close to $200!! Very fast shipping, 4 days max.

Here's another vote for the Burris FullField II 4.5-14X. I have lots of Leupolds, but bought the Burris because I had an opportunity to buy it for $230 and couldn't pass up that deal. As it turns out, I really like it and plan to put one on other rifles. I think they are an exceptional value.
