I finally got the order I placed for 3500 MBC147 gr 9 mm bullets i placed sometime in mid December. delivery was about 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 months.

i was planning on placing orders the month after but decided to wait until i got my order filled before placing another one so i just placed my order for 45 acp yesterday. still have some on hand anyway.

how are other companies on delivery?

do you have any local shops around? I’ve had very good luck with bullets and powder. Many of the shop regular don’t sell online.

Placed an order with Rimrock Mid January, stated 6-8 weeks lead time. We will see, hopefully it is correct they have always been a good company.

i always buy my cast coated or plated bullets online MBC, SnS , Xtreme in past and RMR .

i am flush with powder for the past few years and next few years also mainly bought online for the staples. i did buy a jug or so locally to try new loads.

Hunter's Supply got my order for .452" 225gr. LFN to me in under two weeks. Pretty fast, considering, but it was also only for 200ct.

X-Treme Bullets has consistently been less than 10 days between placing the order and receiving it over the last year. I've only made four or five orders in that time but have never had an issue getting what I need in a timely fashion.

EDIT: For cast bullets, SNS recently got an order to me within a week, which I was impressed with.

Nobody within 100 miles of me has reloading supplies. Except for 209's for muzzle-loading season, most stopped carrying smokeless powder and primers years ago. Local simply isn't an option an hasn't been for a very long time in N. Florida. Driving over to Jacksonville, down to Orlando or Tampa, or up to Tallahassee on the off-chance a brick-n-mortar store might have "something" isn't an option, either.

Palmetto State about a week, if they are in stock.

Midsouth the same.

Actually I’ve bought bullets from 4-5 vendors recently and all were delivered in 7-10 days.

The only order that took longer was Planet Optics. But they allow back orders on some products and I believe that was a back order.

roval said his order was for 3500 - a fairly large quantity for me - and it took almost 3 months. My orders are all in the under-500 arena, not multi-thousands. How are orders for you volume-purchasers working out? And, if you got a quick turnaround like I did from HS, what was the quantity of your order? hundreds or thousands?

i usually order a couple of thousand of a bullet staple when i am down between 500 to 1000 bullets of that caliber. maybe 1 to 2 times a year. some orders last a few years.

i only buy less of the more expensive bullets like hornady xtps, 55 gr v max or 168 gr bthp at a time. also load those much less. those I get from online like midsouth. haven't bought any for a few years.

Try Precision Delta. They shipped within a day or two. Also, check out Lucky Gunner/AmmoToGo/Wideners. They tend to only list items they have in stock and ship quickly.

i like sns for 38 special/357. always says not in stock. can you place an order and wait like MBC?

Well, I've only ordered from them the one time (will definitely order again until I get my casting setup finished), and it was 250 grain 45 Colt RNFPs which happened to be in stock at the time, so I'm not sure on that. However, I just looked, and they currently have both 125 grain and 158 grain flat points in stock, though not all of their offerings are right now.

Acme Bullets has always arrived in a few business days for me. Ordered anywhere from 500 to 2K. My last order was 1K in October if my memory is correct, think it took three days from order to delivery.

But they don't take backorders to the best of my knowledge.

Order places with Bayou in November. Still nothing.
Good to know. I also placed a Bayou order for 124 gr 9mm and 230 gr 45acp on 11/21/20 and still haven’t heard. I think I’m finishing the 16 week mark this week. That’s over their website’s projected time window, so hopefully it’s soon.

Shops here - both large and small - can't get ammo, let alone powder, primers and bullets. Missouri Bullet is swamped by they DO deliver, as do a host of other online sources.
