How can we have a "Favorite Movie Shotgun" thread without a "Favorite Movie Rifle" thread??

Quigley and his sharpes is one of very few rifles I really noticed enough to be able to name. I notice nice handguns and even a few iconic shotguns more than rifles for whatever reason.

I suppose the double rifle that was carried by roland in jurassic Park 2 as well

Just recently saw a western called Shotgun Slade. Funny, I never even heard of that show before. Pretty good, though.

Whichever rifle Wahlberg uses in Shooter. They just don't miss.

I've never seen Jurassic World, but I sure like the lever gun.

The MK12 replica Ben Foster carried in "Lone Survivor" based on Matt Axelson's actual rifle-

May God bless and grant peace to all those who have given their lives at the sharp end so that we might live in freedom. In these dark days, let us not forget, nor their sacrifice be in vain.

Whatever lever gun john wayne uses in “Rio Bravo” made me love lever guns since I was a kid.

Did you ever notice the '03 front sight assembly on that rifle? That was a very common and convienient modification to shortened Krags since it proved nearly impossible to reattach the original soldered sight posts once removed.

Walter Brennan a.k.a. "Stumpy" in Rio Bravo - when he mentioned a number of dimes in each barrel of this double.

Quigley. I’d never known what a Sharps was until that movie. But cut me some slack. I was only 8 when it came out. But man I loved that rifle. Now, I own one.

Jeremiah Johnson. The Hawken. I was 10 years away from being born when it came out but I loved that rifle too. Own one of those also.

Dinardo's and his counterpart's M-14s made me finally seek out a civilian M14 in the form of my Smith Mfg unit.
We always had M21s on the Team but weirdly, this below the radar movie tripped my private ownership trigger.

I'll throw in a vote for the British Baker rifle as seen in the Sharpe's Rifles... etc., series.
And perhaps we can include Sgt. Harper's Nock Volley gun in the shotgun thread because, technically, they were a smoothbore... ;)

Winchester '73. I don't recall another movie actually about a rifle. The others are about the shooter.

Not A rifle but the rifles that got laid out in 2 mules for sister Sara (I think, I may be mixing up another Eastwood western). There were several in one scene and they kept moving around to make the bad guys think there were more people shooting at them. Not to mention the dynamite scene. I love that movie. The mixture of rifles is impressive and at least somewhat accurate.

You guys have named so many great movies. I will throw in Cowboy and Sgt. Oleonowski and their M-2 Carbines in Go Tell The Spartans.
