You did specify "Favorite",,,

You did specify "Favorite",,,
Not especially the best.

My best .22 rifle is my CZ-452 Trainer,,,
It's so easy to hit the target with,,,
One might say it's magic.

I own a Mossberg 702 Plinkster,,,
It's absolutely reliable with decent ammo,,,
And it's as accurate as any stock 10/22 I've ever seen.

My Savage Mark II is a very nice rifle to shoot,,,
It's nothing to write home to Mom about,,,
But a very adequate rifle in any case.

My Henry Acu-Bolt is just sweet,,,
I'm too blind to do this myself,,,
But my Annie Oakley friend,,,
Hits Sub-MOA at 50 yards.

My H&R Sportster is scoped for bunny hunting,,,
Minute of Small Animal at 100 yards,,,
It has sent lotsa bunnies to the pot.

Now for my "Favorite",,,
Beretta U-22 NEOS Carbine,,,

This rifle brings out my inner James Bond.

Okay, I know the movie used an Armalite AR-7,,,
But my carbine is way cooler than that rifle,,,
You can hit something with the Beretta.

With this inexpensive scope from Cabela's,,,
It shoots minute of tin can at 100 yards,,,
That's plenty of accuracy for a carbine,,,
And it's just a hoot to shoot the thing.

So for fun plinking,,,
Which is what I tend to do the most of,,,
The NEOS Carbine is my absolute favorite rimfire rifle.

I have rifles that have more inherent accuracy,,,
But none other that makes me giggle like a school-girl.

A word of warning,,,
If you know someone that owns one,,,
Resist the urge to try it out or you will want one as well.

Someday I'll take a picture of my friends 8 year old daughter with it,,,
When she is geared up with it she looks like a tiny Japanese Anime Warrior Girl.

dubbleA, I am jealous of your skills and tools. Very nice work.

Since I started this thread, my favorite has become a CZ 452 American with a can. Still love the Remington, but there's something about a super-quiet rimfire. I'll have to shoot a picture and add it to the thread.

Savage-Anschutz Model 141 Sporter, .22lr with unknown Bushnell fixed-power scope. One of the most accurate rifles in the family cabinet and, with good ammo, also incredibly slick and fast. Sometimes it feels like cheating, shooting this rifle....

You will probably notice many favorites have been CZ .22 rifles….and for good reason. IMO they offer the best value for the money spent…very accurate, well built rifles. Mine is a CZ 453, as well.

Glenfield 25. Pawn shop find for $85. Cleaned up and refinished stock. Saving it for my oldest grandson. It is very accurate

Of the 22LR's I currently own it would be difficult to choose but my Stevens Model 56 Buckhorn tops the list. I picked it up a couple years back on a trade for a couple vintage books. Truly it looked like it had actually been fired very little and had spent most of its life tucked in the back of a closet. The action was still quite rough. The barrel's rifling cleaned up to a bright shine after only a quick cleaning. I did some work on the action and trigger and now after several hundred rounds it is starting to show it's true capabilities. Smmmooooth...

Seeing as my eyes cannot see the itty bitty sights on the rifle I had it drilled and tapped and a scope mounted. I've recently received an original butt from a friend off of another Buckhorn and swapped it out. So much better than the replacement I had fabricated from 3/8 aluminum.

It is shooting these kinds of groups now that I have found its favorite ammo.... and my abilities are being tuned to target shooting after years away from the bench.

I know I'm in the rifle forum but had to post this one. Used to be an AMT hardballer, now is just an AMT frame. My most custom pistol, and it isnt finished yet...

One of the 10-22 that I built that sports a heavy Lilja barrel, a KIDD single stage trigger and a standard Ruger stock with the walnut stain stripped off to show the wood underneath. The stock was inletted to fit the bull barrel and the tip cut off behind the barrel band.
