How do you carry your Kel-tec P-11?

I use a DeSantis TuckThis IWB holster and really like it. The clip goes under the belt instead of over it like most IWB holsters do so there is almost nothing showing when I wear it with the shirt tucked in.
Only cost about 25 bucks too.
 
Mine lives in my man-bag at my right hip. It is a concealed carry leather unisex bag with a built-in holster compartment with a lockable zipper from E. S. Ramey

Mine is set up where the pistol is almost vertical with a slight forward cant. The holster will take up to my 1911A1 and the holster is held very firmly in place with wide Velcro on both sides. I replaced the skinny shoulder strap it came with with one from a Dell Laptop bag for increased comfort and to position the bag lower for a better draw.

 
Does anyone use those kel-tec clips to carry?
Is that safe?



and how in the world do some of you guys fit these in your pockets? I can get it in there, but its an awkward shape--my j-frame goes in and out of the pocket MUCH easier. Maybe I'm missing something?

I use the kel-tec clip for carry. It fits quite well IWB and feels quite secure. The draw is relatively smooth and easy. The gun is really well hidden and doesn't print. I have used this method for 2 years now and have never had the gun try to slip or fall.
 
i bought the p11 when it 1st became available and have carried it with the clip IWB at 4 oclock with a wide and thin belt. hiking, biking--whatever, it has never shifted in place.
 
I have a home made pocket rig with a flap over it that makes it look like a wallet when I have to take it out to disarm. I can even lock it under the seat of my Suzuki motorcycle and no one's the wiser that might be looking on. When in the pocket, I move the flap out of the way. I actually made the holster for a Grendel P12, but with a little use and stretching, it works for the P11 which ain't that much physically bigger. Before I got the P11 a dozen years ago, I used to carry that Grendel in a rear jeans pocket in that holster, worked rather well. I carry front pocket with the P11, works better. It's just large enough to make rear pocket carry not real viable unless the pocket is larger than normal. I rarely carry the Grendel anymore, but keep it as an option. Can never have too many firearms. It's reliable, just that the P11 is more accurate and powerful and carries about the same firepower. It's also got a smoother trigger.

I also, when I got the P11, bought a Mitch Rosen IWB, but I don't use it much anymore. It's a comfy IWB as IWBs go and it's a tuckable (workman model), I just find pocket carry a LOT easier.

I carry my P-11 in a cheap ol $10 soft fabric (I don't even know the brand) IWB holster. The holster is very flexible and comfortable. I'm right-handed, so I carry about 3-4" to the right of my belt buckle, when I'm wearing a jacket.
 
Most often without a holster, to be honest.

I am familiar with clothing that have "holsters" built into them, if you will, as I was raised with this method of carry. Ladies and Gents had seamstresses and tailors do this, before I was born in the 50s.
Like I have said, I had some interesting mentors...

I also have a Uncle Mike's IWB clip on, that fits a couple of niches.



The only accessories I recommend is the factory finger extension for the factory magazines, and having a gold bead for the front sight.

I also recommend having at least one mag without this "pinky" extension, as this makes the P-11 more concealable, and/or mags more concealable.

Oh, it is not a bad idea to have a holster to fit weak side, and practice weak side with the P-11.

When I lost some firearms, and firearm related items, , amongst items lost was the Down Under with straps for my weak side use.

Again, how mentored and raised to carry weak side for not only backup, also primary for some situations, it has to do with strategy and tactics.

P-11 is nothing but a plastic DA revolver that is feed through its butt.

Folks have always carried revolvers weak side, for not only back up, also for primary for S&T reasons.

Software, not Hardware.

The hardware might have changed , the software never did.
P-11 instead of a revolver...

When I had one, I used the belt clip, or a Smartcarry, or a fanny pack, or dropped it in an empty jeans pocket (most rarely). I had an IWB holster, but the other methods seemed to be used more.

I sold it and bought a S&W 642. I carry it pretty much in the same ways, but I likes it lots more.
 
I have been carrying mine with the clip IWB, or in a pocket holster (desantis nemesis), but the dang clip gets in the way. I'm thinking of modifying the pocket holster for it to work better.

Also, the P11 does fit in the Glock sport/combat holster as P11's are practically the same dimensions as the G26
 
Right front jean pocket with the gun mounted clip. Looks like a pocket knife.
 
you guys must have some big pockets to pocket carry these things...

Not really as they are pretty small even when compared to S&W J-frame pocket guns.

Hey C&L, what kind of holster is that you modified?

I was thinking about doing something like that to the Nemesis...but don't know how it would take it, being the material its made of is...rubber? plastic? whatever it is, not leather.
 
I use the belt clip from Keltec also,..carry at 4 o'clock, canted forward. Have never had an issue with slippage. My belt holds it snug, and the clip holds it in place. Sometimes carry in a Bianchi Pro 100 IWB, and occasionally in a minimalist belt slide. The clip doesn't ineterfere with holstering the gun if I choose to use a holster at all. If you decide to use the belt clip,...make sure you use locktite on the screws holding the clip to the gun,...they will vibrate loose.
 
I always have one in the chamber.

I wouldn't carry a glock with a clip only with one in the chamber, but with the P-11's long dao trigger pull, it's pretty safe.

besides, once it's clipped in place, the trigger is covered anyhow. my .02
