Front pocket with holster, always. I don't wear shorts, just jeans and occasionally a pair of kevlar riding pants. Shorts don't work well for a guy that rides a motorcycle a lot. Neither does back pocket carry, sitting on the gun, not comfortable.
It depends on how small we are talking about. I sometimes carry a Beretta Jetfire as a BUG and have it in a pocket holster. I always carry my Walther PPK in an IWB holster (High Noon Split Decision). Both work well.
Wow I Am so glad I can open carry 99% of the time. How long does it take to actually draw and fire one of those out of a pocket holster compared to say a serpa open carried (~1second)
Pocket carry soemtimes in a DeSantis Nemisis,..other times I carry it IWB clipped to the belt with the Keltec clip. I have never had it slip. It works for me. Sometimes carry the P11 the same way,..with a clip sans holster.
I would not know as I have never openly carried a KelTec .380 openly on my belt. I would say a second sounds about right for my belt carried Glock but that's not what we are talking about. Do you really openly carry a tiny pocket gun on your belt 99% of the time?
OP: I voted front pocket and it rides in a Desantis Nemesis.

If I could open carry...and for some odd reason actually wanted to....I'd carry my engraved, stag grip Ruger .45 Colt blackhawk in a buscadero western rig fast draw style. this IS Texas, after all. We don't need no stinkin' .380s on our belts. Hell, son, the ammo for my gun is bigger than your whole gun!
Thoughts of Crocodile Dundie..."That's not a knife...."
If I'm walking through a dark parking lot with my hand in my pocket on the grip of the gun, under a second. If I'm seated at a dinner table, well over a second. But, that's the trade off to keep your CCW in Texas, I reckon. Cooler months, like December, January, maybe early February, I can carry a belt gun if I really want to and do sometimes, covered by a vest over my polo shirt. Summer? Nah.....
I use a pocket holster in my front right pocket.
It only takes as long as taking my hand out of my pocket to draw my p3at.
I have practiced it many times at the range and it is a very good way to carry.
I've got an ankle holster from Bianchi that my little .25 Colt 1908 Hammerless fits. I carry it solo when I don't want to look armed (and a .25 is just a LITTLE more than that), or as a backup to a belt gun.
I bought a belt holster for my p3at, but I've never used it. I haven't carried a pocket gun in a while. I almost always carry IWB and I carry guns that are just a little big for pocket carry.
