How do you react?
I’m curious, how do you react when you hear a noise at night, obviously one that is loud enough to awake you from a slumber or one that just don’t sound right?
Where I live I have lots of noises for the most part all night, I’m close to a major road and the houses are very close together (trailer park).
Night before last I kept hearing a noise as though someone was between my unit and a fence line which is covered up by overgrown bushes.
I didn’t go to investigate till morning and I did see fresh footprints.
Also I have made us (myself and my girlfriend) a small kit which can go with us when we leave and stays close by the bed at night, it contains a cell phone and two small flashlights. And I thought of something else too, we obviously don’t have burglar alarms but my car has a really nice auto alarm with remote and a panic button on it. It is parked literally right outside of the bedroom and I keep the remote close by as well. In case we hear something we can hit the panic button, which sends the horn honking, alarm siren goes off and the lights start flashing.
I figure it’s enough to scare off the average juvenile or punk troublemaker, plus it would make it easier for the cops to find the house in this maze of trailers.
I feel as though I am trying to defend this place from a severe disadvantage and I’ll be glad when I can move the hell out of this place hopefully before Christmas.
