Yesterday I decided I would walk to the store (1/2 mile, no big deal) and buy my groceries. It was below freezing, but I saw no ice, so I assumed it was safe to travel on foot.

About an 1/8 of a mile from the house I slipped and fell.

My CCW piece fell out of my pocket (thank gawd there were no witnesses) and hit the concrete. It only traveled approximately one foot to the ground.

No real damage to speak of (to the gun, I am slowly coming back to normal) and am pleased to say that my El Cheapo Taurus .357 magnum did better in the fall than I did.

So, I was wondering if anyone else has taken a spill and dropped their gun and what the end result to the gun was.

Yes...I got out of my car at a gas station once and apparently didn't have my Taurus 44 Spc titanium (in ghetto blue) snapped in it's holster properly. It CLATTERED across the concrete (unnoticed by anyone) Aside from a few scratches, it was OK. But what a terrible sound that was. It wasn't new when I bought it and I just chalk it up to a lesson learned on my part...
