How far would you drive to go to the range?

A little over 30 miles round trip- it's ridiculous there aren't more ranges around.

I have some of "best of both" ranges.

We have some land...not much, but enough to shoot. Mostly I stick with pistols and .22 rifles. We can throw clay targets, too. The drive is an hour, but generally, I'm there anyway to do some maintenance on the place.(work a little...shoot a little)

I'm also a member at a range/club just 15 min. from the house. There are target stands at 50, 100, and 200 yds. Members only and a nice club house. We shoot any rifle or pistol we want.

Also, there is a State owned range going east or west under a hour. There are several indoor ranges around. If you want to shoot...the places are out there.

My 2 cents, about 3-4 miles, outdoors and a 100 yd. range, its pretty decent, has a overhead, cement benches and seats, but crappy weather lately, rain all day today, and
more coming off and on at least for the next several weeks, thanks.

I drive 1.5 hrs (each way) one Sunday a month, to shoot IHMSA, because we don't have any ranges in Illinois that have steel targets.
