How "Gun Friendly" is your place of work?

Very

I often CCW at work in work clothes if I am wearing something practical enough to hide it. I also CCW here when I work at the office alone if the other employees are gone. The owner like it when I carry to work as long as it stays hidden from our clients.

I live in MA so people give you a dirty look if you even open a pocket knife here. I was once asked if I would kill someone as I was opening a box with a pocket knife. my answer was "yes, if I had a good enough reason to..." the silence afterward was priceless. If I carried here, I would have to make sure it was not noticeable. I would most likely be terminated on the spot if I was caught carrying. However, because I must, I push the limits. People I work with know I like guns and shoot them regularly. I have rifle casings on my desk and have hung things on the walls with bullet holes in them. Most of the time the libs around here don't know what they are and assume it is some piece of computer hardware. Little do they know. We get into about three social political arguments a week in the office. We usually argue about the same things since I refuse to bend to their flawed logic and stick to my guns. You should hear what these people think about carrying on campus. Here I was thinking these guys watched the news more than I do.

"No firearms or weapons allowed on the premises" posted at the card access gate, at the main facility anyway, but I only have to go there 1 day a week. I work at an annex, no sign there, so I leave a handgun (sometimes a rifle also) in the car.

"Weapons" are prohibited at the financial company where I work. It's in the employee handbook. You can get fired.

I wish I was self employed, but I can't think of a good business!

I have a NRA calendar at work; that's as close as it gets for me.

The industry in which I work has nothing to do with guns.

My current employer hired an instructor to conduct a concealed handgun class at work one weekend. Free CHL instruction. Too bad I'd already had my CHL a couple of years.

At my previous employment, the owner walked in as I was showing my Mosin to a co-worker. She said, "That's a pretty gun, Rube. I like it better than that black gun Joe had last week." She was referring to my co-worker's AR-10.

Since I was 18 I have always carried at work. In the last 27 years one company had a “no weapons” policy. I told the owner that I intended to ignore it. He never said a word so I considered it permission.

For the last decade I have worked for myself. I carry every day. Looking back I wonder how I ever managed to work for someone else.

No guns allowed even in the lots. A lot of us have warned them that they will be sued to the max by angry spouses, should anything happen to us in the parking lots, which have, incidently, been the location of many crimes over the years, including murder. Thankfully, I'm there for just another month.

It's great actually. My dad is the owner and he's a big fan of carrying. My husband and I tend the bar at his winery on weekends and we don't leave home without them.

Very friendly.....when ever someone gets a new gun they bring it to work for a little "show & tell". Employees can also have gun related purchases and ammo shipped to our work place....so it doesn't create "tension" at home. Always exciting when the UPS or Fed-Ex guys show up with those cmp boxes.

Very anti. None to be allowed on premises or locked in car. 1st strike and you're out.
Fellow employees call me "the gun freak" as it was found out that I possess more than 10 guns....and an FFL03.
I really hate it when antis/non-gunowners call anyone with a firearm, a "gun freak":cuss:

Nope. Legally, it's permissible to carry where I work. I could lose my job, on the other hand, real quick if discovered.

What I find most amusing is that someone who doesn't work there - a visitor - can only be asked to leave.

radjxf,
I call myself, my carpool buddie whom I hunt with, and the guys who have targets and ammo magazines lying on their desks "gun toting psyco's" the their faces:) I guess it's a little different when it's done in a joking way about oneself?

We are a 'no guns on the premises' business, but it's more of a don't ask, don't tell type thing since most people shoot or hunt.

People were mad when it was implemented cuz we are less than 20 feet from the on-ramp of the biggest highway heading towards hunting grounds, and for me it's over halfway to the range from my house, so I just never mention any guns or ammo in my truck.:D

I'm a student worker at a state university. What do you think? :p

In Oregon, I don't believe it would be illegal for me to have a pistol on me while on campus if I had a concealed carry permit, but it would get me expelled if I were caught.

The company I work for allows guns and knives.

In fact, I carry an automatic knife whenever the spirit moves me. I am allowed to take as much time as I need for target practice, preparation for hunts and vacations, besides shake-down runs with my truck.

I have no dress code, I can set my own days off--and don't tell anyone this, tee hee--I've been bangin' the owner's wife for years...
