How I Spent My Stimulus Check

buy it uhhhhhhhhh........cheap..........and..................well at least you're stacking it deep!

You had to buy ITALIAN ammunition? Couldn't you buy Winchester or Remington or better yet Cor-Bon or Buffalo Bore?????

Just kidding.

When I grow up maybe I, too, can receive a "Stimulus Check." For some reason, no one out here in this part of rural NM received the Bush tax rebate checks from years ago, the Governor's fuel tax rebate or this stimulus check. I long stopped believing those statements by politicans. It is good to read that someone actually received one.

I dunno, I got the full 600 crows. I'm not actually shooting as much as I used to, but CA might pass a law prohibiting us from buying ammo anywhere other than retail, plus a whole bunch of other restrictions, so it made sense to stock up before ammo gets anymore expensive. If the law does pass, I'll probably buy a few thousand more rounds before it goes into effect.

And I buy Fiocchi because my Canadian-American 1911 likes it alot.

Hmmmmm

Right Now I'm torn between putting mine in a mutual fund, buying some AK ammo or maybe putting it toward one of the new Ruger 4" bbl Redhawks in .44 mag. Its a very conflicting set of thoughts.

Probably I'll compromise amd spend $ 100 on 9mm/.38 spl anno, justifying the purchase by saying preparing for Hurricane Season. The balance into a mutual fund.

I was hoping for a cyq P38. But when the check arrived in Saturday's mail, it wasn't enough to fill up the tank of my car. God bless our stimulus-inducing politicians.

Got mine and split it with the wife. Was all day at the gunshow yesterday and couldn't find a gun I wanted bad enough to buy it. Just bought ammo myself. Came home with most of my money.

Was thinking about a new toy. But broke a tooth & the dentist will be getting it ( if it ever arrives ).

:what:
I've got one more case coming on Monday.

Good to know someone is spending their's wisely. I'm thinking of purchasing one of those Savage 93G .22 magnum rifles. Think I can get one for a round $200. Last time I priced a Savage rifle (3 years ago) - a 7mm Rem. Mag. was in the $375 area - now they're in the $575 area...... With the high price of ammo (and everything else) - it's getting harder and harder to buy the important things in life. :cuss:

I got the full 600 chucks, and right now its in a high interest savings account while I figure out what to do with it. I just gotta get one of them springfield EMP's. Although, I could use a car that can drive, and a mattress thats not shaped like a taco.

Maybe it's more expensive in different parts of the country but the prices I see on ammo on that website are quite a bit higher than my local WalMart.
100 rounds of WWB FMJ in .45 are $29.75. 100 rounds of WWB 9mm is a little less than $19. You do the math.

I got mine yesterday. I've got to spend it to get three dead trees taken down.:(
some trees I just won't cut myself and these threaten the house and power lines. I did just order some fix-it parts from Numrich for an old Winchester model 290 and a Glenfield model 25. Both .22s, for cheap shooting. That's sorta like two new guns for forty-couple bucks, so I don't feel too bad. Stinkin trees.

I used mine to "stimulate" Widener's, Oregon Trail Bullet Company and J&G Sales.:D
