I had my brand new Uberti Outlaw sent back to the manufacturer for lack of headspace (or something). I've never had to send anything back for repairs before so I had two questions...

Will they repair my firearm or send a new one?

If they repair, what kind of a time period am I looking at before I get to shoot this darn thing?

Thanks!

I didn't realize that was an option. Is is possible to "check in" with them and see how it's going?

Of course! You know where you sent it, right? Call that place and tell them what you want - an update on a warranty claim. Have your shipping details and your gun's serial number and they should be able to tell you anything you ask. Now whether their time estimates are accurate or not is a whooooole nother matter! ;)

Okay will do! I'll have to call the gun shop to get the serial # and info. Since it was newly purchased from them, I took it back to them and they checked it out and sent it back to Uberti.

If that's the case, call the gun shop and ask them to check for you. They will have all the information at their fingertips and when they are looking for information for a customer (to quit bothering them ;) ) they can keep you updated.
