If I cannot have a Cabot, I'd rather have none.

So, I have none.

Have you handled a Cabot?

The guns at SHOT weren't all that great. All the tech babble they spout off, but for the $$$ the samples they had weren'f fit that great or had a consistent fit. Also when I asked them about accuracy, they could never give actual numbers, only saying "they shoot great"

Fourteen if I can count my Para-Ord LDAs, eight if just counting singe actions. SINGLE ACTIONS: Two Colt 1991A1 Series 80s a Gov't and a Compact both .45ACP; Two Auto-Ord/Thompsons a Gov't and a "competition" both .45s; AMT 'Hardballer' .45; AMT frame w/Colt Conversion Unit upper .22LR; Kimber 'ProCarry II 9mm; and a Custom 'Remsports' Target .40S&W. Para-Ord LDAs: Single stack .45; Single stack 'Limited' .45; Double stack .45; Double stack .45 'Limited'; Double stack .40S&W; and Single stack 'PDA' 9mm.
I do like my 1911 platforms. Many moons ago I shot on an Air Force base pistol team and learned to shoot and love the 1911. Nothing else fits my hand as well. I also shoot a couple Hi-Powers and like them too, a 9mm and a .40S&W. Keep shootin' and check 6.

two proper in .45

2 the way they are supposed to be, in the .45 acp. But if you let me count the sweetest shooting handgun (sti trojan in 9mm!) it goes to 3. Allow me to cheat (like quack ;) )and count a double stack in .40 and it's 4 ....

Of course, if you let me count my shrunken down 1911 in .380 ... a colt .380 it'd be 5. Well, 4 and a half at least.

I have one lonely 1911. I need another one so they can multiply.
That's how it works, right? How can you tell a male from a female 1911?

The game is to talk my hubby into letting me have a NightHawk...thinking he's saving money.

CO Lady - Could you just simply have to... "Order" him to get one for you?

How many 1911? It's seems like I have always had one less than all that I wanted to have...

I knew for sure that I could not catch up with Quack!

I mentioned 2 and a half (2 .45s and a .22 kit) in my original response, but forgot to mention the next three I know I want and plan to purchase. :D

One is a Coonan .357 magnum 1911, say what you will about it I Want one!

I also want a .38 super with ridiculous grips, I'm thinkin abalone or turquoise or somethin similar :D

and a 6 or 7" stainless longslide, will definitely have a 'smith friend go over it til it's running like clockwork. I won't stop there, more .45s in the future too! I just figured I'd mention these not so usual 1911s :D

(weird! no grip safety?? mine will have one)

LOTS of 'em! I have them in .45 acp, 9mm, and .22; I have 'em heavy and light, long and short, single-stack and double stack. Some are blue and some are not. Some have adjustable sights; others have fixed sights. A few have original grips; most have aftermarket grips. Some are expensive, but some are less so. I like 1911s. Much.

...I find that there are other guns I'd much rather carry on a daily basis and/or use to defend my family/home...
The OP simply asked how many people have. This is like being asked "what kind of race car do you have" and answering, "they get poor mileage." :scrutiny:

Almost had two... the Cabelas in Scarborough had a hi power for about $475 used today. I almost came home with me but I am shopping for something else.

Two, including this Cogan customized Colt, it's even better then it looks, and it looks awesome.

Just two: Colt 1911 Mars Armament THUG and Ed Brown Special Forces.

I have been able to ring the bell at 50 and 75 yards with the Ed Brown.

just two (s&w .45 and ria tac 9mm) but if i ever see a ruger at a decent price, will be three for sure
