Most everyone seems to have a P32, and they appreciate what this little gun has to offer, 8 rounds of "useful" .32ACP, super light, slim etc etc

But how many carry the P32 as their only CCW weapon, and if so, with which cartridge.

Any takers?

I use mine for summer pocket carry, when I would otherwise leave a gun in the car. If my Golddots don't open up then .32 isn't that much smaller than .355 9mm ball. I think criminals want helpless victims not determined defenders. A .32ACP up the nose beats a .45ACP back at home.

The only time I carry my P32 as my primary gun is when I go running, or working out at the gym. It's always loaded with S&B or Fiocchi FMJ.

I carry it as my always but not my preferred primary.

After getting the P32, I got in a habit of leaving the 1911s at home and only having the P32 so I picked up a Kahr P9.

I carry Gold Dots in my P32. Some warn against rimlock but I have about 1100 rounds through this P32 and probably a combined 800 through two prior P32s and never experienced rimlock with SilverTips or Gold Dots. The CorBons seem just a tad shorter than either the SilverTips or the Gold Dots and would personally avoid carrying them because of that though they always functioned fine when I tried them.

I used to carry the P32 as my primary a lot when I couldn't carry something larger, but was always concerned about the shortcomings of the .32. I decided that I needed a larger pocket gun, so I bought a S&W 642 Airweight.

I don't mind carrying my P32 for a BUG, but I don't want to depend on it for my primary carry weapon if I don't have to. YMMV

I still carry mine as a primary when mode of dress absolutely won't allow anything else.
I started carrying only Silvertips, then Fiocchi sjhp, but I'll probably just carry fmj when my current stocks are shot up.
I've decided that, with the small bullet, penetration would be better than non-existant expansion.

I have moved into the "bigger bullet" camp.
I picked up a Kahr PM9 and carry it as often as possible.
It disappears in the pocket of most jeans.
I'm also looking at IWB holsters for my S&W .45.

When I can't carry anything else, it's the P-32.

Here is SC.....

It gets so hot that I only carry my P-32. I'd carry something larger if I could conceal, but the P-32 is better than nothing. Back pocket when wearing jeans, front pocket when wearing kakais. I load mine with Gold-dots.

I think of the P-32 as my primary(along with a 10-rd. mag with more FMJs for a reload), but I also carry a 442 or BHP with it sometimes.

I'm patiently waiting on a P-3AT.

When I have to dress light, or must remain completely concealed, I will carry the P32. Otherwise, if I can get away with it (CCW is so illegal in my state) a small 9mm is in order like a Kahr MK9, PM9, or a bit bigger, a G26.

Note that I do not advocate breaking the law no matter how unjust or stupid the law is, but we all know that there are times when packing is necessary. Better to go to court than to be dead or worse, have a loved one dead.

The only way I would carry a gun that small as a primary is if there is absolutely, positively, no chance I could conceal a Govt. Model all day.

I carry my P32 almost religously now. Since I tend to wear mostly shorts and T-shirts in the summer, carrying anything else is just too difficult. I also like having the P32 as a BUG when I'm carrying something bigger, and especially when I'm working. Right now I have Hydra-Shoks in it, because the company I work for requires us to use Federal ammo in our weapons.

Howdy,

I now own a P32 again. I decided to take the plunge and buy one even though my past experiences with Kel-Tec were quite bad.

So, the one I have now has so far been completely reliable, and accurate enough that when I qualified with it on the standard department qualification course (shooting at 5, 7, 15, and 25 yards) I managed to shoot a 100% with it.

I have only shot PMC FMJ ammunition in it, so that is what I carry. I'm not a big fan of JHP in .32ACP anyway, so I was planning on carrying FMJ. Since PMC was what they had when I bought the gun, and it is 100% in my P32 that is what I use.

However, I do not carry my P32 as a primary weapon. I'm just not comfortable with that. I carry it on-duty as a backup and last night I walked down the block to get a pizza. It would have been a lot easier to drop the P32 into my pocket and walk down there, but instead I dropped the P32 in my pocket and then put on a covering garment and my holstered USP45 Compact and spare magazine.

The P32 is a great little gun, but on the off chance that I get into a gun fight, I don't want just a P32.
