I belong to The HighRoad, 1911forum, Pistolsmith,
and Glocktalk, how many forums do you belong to ?
what are they? and why do you hang out there?

personaly I choose to hang with people that will NOT go gently into that goodnight.

I've been following three forums for the past two years and honestly don't have time to follow anymore. TFL/THR for general firearms information. Rimfirecentral since I hotrodded a 10/22 in January of 2001 and needed lots of tips for that project and they were the best clearinghouse for that info at the time. Still are I guess, but they've been expanding into other rimfire related stuff in the past year or so. And Rugerforum since it dawned on me that Rugers make up half of my handgun collection now that I'm getting more into big bore revolvers.

Well, I probably belong to a half-dozen other forums, dealing in precision riflery, varmint hunting, and precision handloading. Like TFL, THR seems to be more city/survival/semi-auto oriented:what:
Nothing wrong here, of course, but not my prime interests. Good political info here too, and enough other info to keep my interest up. :D

1) TFL.... R.I.P. :(
2) THR
3) HKpro.com (my home away from home)
4) Sigforums
5) GlockTalk
6) HK91.com

I belong to a few others but, I rarely post on them..:)

I am a member at pretty much every one I come across, however I only regularly check and post on THR, Gun-Talk, AK-47.net, and Waltherforum.com.

My God!

Are you guys saying there are other places like this?

HS/LD

Since you didn't have a poll of "number of forums" rather a "which forum" type poll, the answers would be diff't. I belong to several forums and use them as reference material. I guess as a number, I belong to 7.

Daily:
HKPRO
Berettaforum
The Indoor Range

Once a week or so:
Tactical forums (of course)
Cult of the P7
1911forums

I mainly hang my hat here, I went to TFL many moons ago and got crossways with management  so I left other than one or two posts when I needed some help on a project politically connected. In the time before "The High Road" I mainly hung my hat at

huntamerica

It is mainly a hunting board, but the political section gets pretty interesting from time to time. I mainly post at political and the Hog hunting forums.

Oh and I have been known to pretend to be a demorat at some fascist boards, and call for the execution of gun owners and assorted other things, always trying to help their image, the <*&*(^_.

I like the people here, the feelings and expressions of the feelings of the people and on the net in general has changed in the last 3 or 4 years. I think a huge portion of the gun owning public who thought anyone who talked about confiscation of guns as wearing a tinfoil hat, has seen their ideals and feelings shift.

It is nice to be within the realms of what I feel are stand-up people, that is a rarity in todays world.

May God have mercy on their souls if they trifle with the collective culture represented here. They'd be making movies 20yrs from now about the last charge of the BATF brigade and name the movie, "Tamara's Mountaintop.":D

the High Road
the firing range
AssaultWeb
A Well-Regulated Militia
The Armed Citizen
CanadianGunNutz.com
Battlerifles
Firearms1
The Gun Room
Gunowner
Single Action 45

And probably a few others I can't recall right now...lol

THR- Most of my time is spent here. :D
KTOG- Because the P11 is my only pistol at the moment.
Glock Talk- Mostly stay with the CCW and cop talk areas.
Packing.org- To keep up to date with CCW laws.

There are a couple others that I read occasionaly but these are the main ones.

THR
Rugerforum
SIGForum
FNHiPower
1911Forum
S&W Forum
Family, Friends and Firearms
Pistolsmith

THR is still my favorite.

I co-host a Delphi Forum, "Firearms Law & Politics". I also belong to "Snipers Hide", and all the other Delphi Forums such as Florida High Power Shooting, and the attenuating drop-downs. I am a member of many other forums that address our issues. List upon request.

I liked the look of this Forum, and joined a couple days ago. I hope it pans out. Thanks,

THR, of course... :D

...and also The Armed Citizen and Family, Friends and Firearms.

Sometimes lurk on GlockTalk and AR-15.com.

My regulars:

The High Road - natural progression from TFL, lots of great people. Good variety of topics.

1911 Forum - my favorite pistols, also lots of good people

Ammolab - good no BS site for learning about real world ammo performance

The Armed Citizen - sort of a smaller TFL/THR. Some familiar faces over there.

Some I check but don't post a lot:

Park Cities - Cult of the P7, lots of good HK info

Walther Forums - good Walther info

Lurk at a few others, mostly when researching a specific topic.

THR- to be able to vote :p
and a few others, cause they have the same guns as me, and therefore might have some better insight to a few spesifics.

I belong to an even dozen.

And, since I am retired I have the opportunity to peruse each of them on a daily or near daily basis. I find it to be an enjoyable, instructional, and stimulating way to communicate with others who share my interest/passion for firearms. Good shooting;)

I used to divide my time pretty evenly between TFL, GlockTalk, 1911Forum and CZForum, but since The High Road started, I spend 99.95% of my time here.

Probably because I've got so much "Administratin" to do around here.

Right.

In all seriousness, the TFL crew always seemed to be cut from a different fabric and I hope The High Road can live up to those standards over time!

The real reason I spend most of my time here is because this forum is not single brand/firearm specific, has the best moderators who keep things on track... and frankly, I feel that I have a vested interest in making as positive of a contribution here, whereas on the other forums, I'm just another face in the crowd.
