how many guns do you take to the range

Splitting up your practice time between different guns guarantees that you won't improve with any of them.

I guess this could be true; yesterday I took 5 rifles to the range all shooting sub-moa with 2 of them below .05" so if they don't improve I am not really worried. :D

I usually take 4 two rifle and two pistol. A center fire for each and a rimfire for each, I am forced to medically, but I find the more .22 I put down range the better my centerfires become.

However many I feel like cleaning afterwards. Last time I went I took two rifles, four pistols and one revolver. I did not shoot two of the pistols due to rain.

the norm is around 5

i have been known to take toooooooo many:what:

im going to regroup and if im shooting say 45acp then im only taking 45's
if it is 40's then only 40's and so on

this will cut down on a bunch of different ammo and if you have some guns that look alike it helps from mixing them up like a XDSC9 AND AN XDSC40. there the same in looks and it would be easy to mix a mag up as in a xd9 mag will fit in the xd40 or the DE BABY EAGLES, GLOCKS, and so on

still will take a few 22's for the cost factor

Just one, although sometimes I'll bring an extra rifle to check the sights. If I feel like making it an all-day affair I'll bring a .22 as well.

At least 2 guns for what caliber I'm shooting that day. I always shoot at least 2 different calibers , many times 3 or 4. It's got so bad I had to get one of those two wheeled luggage carriers to tote my ammo boxes and gun bags. :)

It kinda depends

My typical trip was a few handguns in the range bag but then I got into shooting .22 rimfires off the bench and that generally meant I brought the rifle I was interested in and I shot it for 3 hours. Sometimes I'll bring a second rifle for comparison shooting.

Come this winter, when I have to snowshoe to the range, I doubt I'll be bringing more than one rifle or revolver with me. Outside of .22 autoloader pistols, I don't shoot autoloaders when I'm likely to lose my brass in the snow.

I'd rather go to the range more often with a few guns than bring a lot of guns each time I can manage it.

Usually less than 3. I feel like a jerk putting up dirty guns and I hate cleaning a bunch of guns in my small apartment due to fumes. Cleaning guns outside would make my neighbors nervous :what: ... don't rock the boat

I think this depends on how often a person goes and how far they travel. I go once a week to a nice outdoor range about 30 miles away and I usually take 3 guns but there have been many times where I just take one gun.

Can't answer that right now...................... I'm still unloading my guns

...as many as I want to clean.
This resembles me :)

We have designated ranges for Shotgun, 22/BP, HighPower Rifles, Pistol target range and Pistol action shooting range.

For this reason I usually bring about 4 total ... centerfire and 22LR rifles & centerfire and 22LR pistols ... sometimes a pistol calibur carbine ... I don't necessarly shoot them all.

I went to the nearest range where I can shoot centerfire rifles yesterday, and I took four. One to test handloads, two to exercise the actions under real fire, and the last to sight in. I usually have tasks like that to do, but once done I like to throw a few more rounds just because I'm there and so are the rifles.

I shoot at my buddy's place in the boonies on a lane we carved out of his woods, so it's generally just me, the wife and him although sometimes I take a kid or two along, so it depends on what I want to accomplish. Since I generally only make it down there once or twice a month it seems, I always fire at least 50 rounds through me EDC SW40VE. Last week I was intent on getting a new scope sighted in on a .22 rifle, so it was the main focus. I spent about an hour and a half zeroing it, checking it at various distances and then just shooting it for the heck of it on some swinging targets we have set at 50 and 100 yards. Then I wanted to see if a slightly larger bullet would help out on the keyholing I experience with a T53 (It didn't, every shot at even 25 yards went through sideways, so it's now a parts gun.) so only three went with me that time. Sunday I'll shoot again, this time the main focus is a Mosin 91/30 that I just did a bit of trigger work on, and then getting some .22 revolver and semi-auto time in for the wife, trying out the buddy's new Taurus .40, getting some time in with his Ruger P95 to see if I like it enough to pick one up, and maybe do some more plinking with my Armscor M1600 .22 rifle.
