Looks just like mine did after putting a scope on top of a H-Bar handle. Line of sight stayed the same, barrel was a lot lower though.
You are supposed to angle the steel plate so bullet deflects away from the shooter. The prospect of a ricochet from that 2 inches of steel placed 15 feet down range would scare me.
that’s what I’m rocking!!!"So far, so good" with my Magneto Speed.
That'll buff out.
Always buy your chono from Amazon!
-Return reason : Broken, parts fell off
that’s how you do it!!! and with a 1873 Colt .45 too!!! oooh yeah
I returned my shot up Chrono to Amazon. Shot it on its 1st outing. Free shipping & return… their policy not mineAnd unfortunately cannot locate parts that fell off....but they're gone....
And this hole? I notice it about the same time I noticed the parts missing. What kinda product you selling here?
I thought about them but I use my Chrony for bow and black powder too. I guess I could rig up something for the muzzle loader but I don’t see how a Magnetospeed’s going to work for a bow. Not sure what I’ll do if the Chrony F1 goes toes up. Maybe just drive to the Bear Archery factory and see if they will tune my bow.I managed to hit one of the metal rods on my F1 shooting chrony and though it wasn't completely killed, it was wounded enough that I just replaced it with a magentospeed which was much much better. and I'm extremely careful with that device.
yeah, it works really well for some things, OK for others, and not at all for some things. For most rifles, it seems to work really well though which is what I mostly worry about. I may wind up buying a different chrono for those applications where it just doesn't work if I feel the need to but I haven't yet or at least not enough to justify the expense. I could try resurrecting my F1 but I really came to dislike it towards the end. I may have shot it on purpose a little bit in fact.I thought about them but I use my Chrony for bow and black powder too. As I recall, when I hit the rod, it was with a 69 gr hpbt and it hit hard enough that the electronics came flying out of the chassis but they weren't destroyed to the point where I couldn't have fixed it had I been really determined to do so. I had spent the whole afternoon trying to adjust the thing on the tripod and the sun shades and everything else and I kept getting error codes and I was finally like "oh look, I shot it. Thank God." I think I still have it laying around here somewhere but I really like my magnetospeed and have no intention of fixing the shooting chrony. I have some 110 gr V maxes and some AA2520 on the way and I'm really looking forward to...carefully developing that load from a safe starting point...and maybe seeing what a 110 gr v max does to a ripe pineapple at 3,400 fps.Ah, the metal rods do not count since wood dowels are an easy replacement. You have not shot your chronograph unless you destroyed the the electronics.
