How Many Know That You Carry? What Do You Say?

Hey, if impressions count, there's a whole lotta folks that carry mostly unprinted or detected. I've decided that for the most part it's nobody's business, and I'll share on occasion with others that share similar politics...

I have never been made so I don't have an answer as to what I say.
My family knows but don't ask.

I try to determine if others are carrying but don't know if anyone out there is.

My wife can't tell when I am carrying by just looking at me and I carry a 5" 1911.

It really doesnt bother who knows. My friends and family know for sure.

When asked why....A cop is to heavy.....I cant rely on anyone else to protect me NOW.

I like this one and will use it in future....

All of my good friends know that I carry. They enjoy me carrying as it gives them an added sense of security. Essentially I have become armed security for my family and close friends / co-workers.

NOBODY I have personal contact with other than my wife knows I carry. Therefore I have never been asked face-to-face why I carry.

That said, a lot of folks around these forums know I carry - and also why.

All my friends and family know. I asked them if they mind if I carry a weapon in their house out of respect. My wife isn't 100% on the idea but she'll ask me to go to the store with her if it's after dark for a reason.

No ones ever seen me CC, but when asked why do I open carry, I generaly ask if they are truly interested or just want to give me a hard time. If it's the later I blow them off. They typically don't argue the point with someone carrying a gun.

my mom/dad aunts/uncle's and grandparents other then my wife. i got my brother back into shooting sincehe haddent in many many years since boy scouts (he is now 26) he now has his ccw and carries a XD9, my dad used to hate guns until my brother and i took him to the range. now he is looking into safty classes and a firearms to protect him and my mom.

my wife feels safer now that i carry (im 21 gonna be 22 in april) and she is also looking into getting a ccw.

other then that its my boss who won't let me carry at work (understandable) but im talking him into going to the range sometime soon with my brother and i.

oh yeah, everyone that now knows just laughs and says their not surprised.

most people in my family know that I carry. I do try to recruit friends and co-workers to carry. I am a CCW champion, and have led many people to get the liscense and to start carrying. I do not "show off" when I am out and about, but I will bring a "show off" gun to a friendly barbeque. I want all of them to take action, and to carry as much as the law dictates.
