Colt Government model for HD with Kahr cm9 for carry. Shotgun too but that does not move often.

Hmmm, I didn't think about carry-at-home (which I should do more often). In that case I should have voted yes.

Once everything is locked up, though, the double-decker handgun safe I have has my HD pistol as my easy-access option and my carry pistols below it.

West Kentucky I do have a snow plow on the front does that count? If I carried a sub compact I might think differently but I carry a 44 and it does both jobs well.

Your good in my book farm. I think you got my point. For different scenarios there are different tools. Public carry the goal is stop the threat or get away from it. 5 or 6 shots is usually enough, as would be the 7-10 most baby autos have. This sends bad guy running. Your wallet isn't worth him eating lead and pushing daisies. Smaller is better generally in this scenario so that the weapon is concealable. Home defense on the other hand, your goal is to stop the threat DRT and have enough ammo to make sure you get a hit that counts. The choice of fight or flight is gone. You are forced to fight and you had better have the right tool for the job.

I voted no, but I guess I could have voted yes. Living room, Dining room/kitchen, office, night stand, all model 36’s. CCW: pocket, Model 37, OWB (Depending on Attire) Model 637. So you could say the same but different.

Depends on if I'm carrying my HD gun (G21)... But for the most part, my G21 is my nightstand gun, my G26 is my carry gun.

I use full sized guns for HD. Compacts for carry.

I generally follow this ^^^^^ crowd and therefore voted "no." However, sometimes laziness gets ahold of me and I just slap whatever I'm carrying into the nightstand.

Right now I keep a Glock 19 and a Sig 229 in a quick access safe within reach of my bed. I can open the safe without the light on no problem. Each gun is fully loaded and ready to go. I also have a small but bright flashlight in there and extra mags all loaded.

My next gun will be specifically for HD. I'm leaning towards a Glock 17 but may end up with a Sig226. Either way it will have a rail light and maybe a laser (even though I hate lasers). That one will have its own safe with a large stash of loaded magazines.

Sort of? I have a dedicated HD pistol (Glock 21) that lives in my night stand but I don't take off my CCW just becuase I walk in the door. I carry that one around the house until I go to bed when it gets put in the safe.

I usually carry an LCP. Sometimes an LC9.

My HD guns typically consist of a GP100, CZ75B, Winchester SuperX2 and an AK47.

Yes, mostly because my handguns make their home in my bedside safe when they aren't on me so basically for HD it will be whichever finds its way into my hands first. Unless a swat team finds its way into my house (which will only happen if there's an insurection) then my .357s and 9s will most likely do the job.
