How many rounds have you fired in your lifetime?

OK lets just say that in the past year I have reloaded 60K primers into brass and have shot most of it again. Then there is the .22 winter postals and practice with it---say 3K a week on average for 6 months. Now I usually do this every year and have for the last 40 years, then a pile of .22 for 10 years before that as a youngster. Wow if I still had all that cash I could buy my own country.:what: Or at least arm it. :D

I only got a high school education so I did not learn enough math to add that high. But suffice to say it is more that one just in my military career alone.

I've been shooting for 40+ years so I would have no clue. In the past 6 months, I've probably shot 4,000 rounds but the past 40 years who knows. I did go through a period where I didn't shoot much but that was when my kids where very little. I feel comfortable saying 100,000+ but that is an absolute guess.

Been shooting 60 some years--don't make me think about it---it might make me think
w/out it all the money I would have in the bank----------:D:):D

Very hard to estimate. Some months or years there are droughts, some weeks are excessive.

I fired a few thousand rounds out of a Dillion mini-gun in one setting. Also on that same day I fired several belts through many machine guns.

Another day I fired 400 rounds of .50 caliber through an M2, and another 400 rounds through the 240b and 249 SAW.

I'd say a totally fair estimate is 500 rounds (10 boxes of pistol ammo...) per month over the last 12 years, when I bought my first gun. That's over 70,000 rounds... or at .25 cents a round on average that's like $18,000!!! Again, these are complete guesses.

Pretty hard to come up with any kind of reasonably accurate guess on this one. I got my first .22 at age 12 which was 56 years ago. I've always had several firearms around the place and did a lot of target practice besides hunting. The hitch in the Army added quite a few rounds to the total (I loved the free ammo). Of late I've been burning a lot of pistol ammo since I joined the Medford Rifle and Pistol Club with their indoor range. We have some friendly competitive events there Bullseye Pistol with .22s and .22 rifle once a week. Those don't use up much ammo but I spend a lot of time practicing for those. Been loading a lot of .380, 9mm, .40s&w and .45ACP of late too. Don't know the total but I'd hate to lug them all at one time.

I don't know how many in my lifetime. I'll be 35 in august and I've kept a range book for every gun I've owned since 2002. not counting shots fired from the firearms of other I have logged 61,654 rounds in the past 9 years

Too many to count! 20 yrs Mil/LE+Mil/LE Competition, 22.5 StateLEOw/ 15 yrs Firearms Instructor(free ammo by the case),never thought to count my first yr of reloading-trash can has 1700 empty primer boxes( 17000rds)been reloading since 1970 but slowed down around 1988. As State LEO had multiple "windfalls" of ammo from retirees, widows, concerned citizens afraid of guns. One retired Unit Capt gave me 1k+ 45ACP ,1200+ 556, 800+38/357 and almost 10K 22LR when his granddaughter dragged a gun from his closet and Grandma left this planet raising hell! To put a number one it 100k+. After a 1973 AF Match we had lots of the 50K ea 223/38 ammo left over we were told to oder and as it had to be expended the commander swapped it for the old base defense ammo stocks and 5 of us shot 17K+ of 556 on a half day @ the range. Plus 4 yrs in SEA! No wonder my ears are bad!

Significantly fewer than most in this thread. Hard to guestimate, but prolly around 5k including .22.

Since the majority of my shooting career was on a bolt action hunting rifle, that isn't too bad. My round count really multiplied when I got my first automatic.
