How Many Times To Neck Size?

If you are neck sizing rifle brass, should you ever skip neck sizing one time and full length size? In other words, say for a given round of brass that you handload 10 times, should say on the 5th reload you resize with a full length resize? I'm talking about brass that only gets fired in one gun. Any benefit or detriment to skipping neck sizing once? Thanks

BB, I only FL the brass when new and trim as usual, or when the case feels that it is struggling to close the bolt. Always FL when using in a semi-auto or you'll have FTF, fail to feed and or get jammed at the barrel.

When my brass gets too tight to effectively chamber I'll use the FL adjusted to just the extent it bumps the shoulder back enough to fit nicely, yet not too loose at the shoulder. I don't really think there is a magical number of times before this needs to be done, and mostly because the brass will let you know when it is time for a bumping, it will get real tight when closing the bolt or won't close at all. In this respect, don't load your brass until you've test chambered every round so you don't wind up with a bunch of rounds that need pulling, or worse yet, find yourself with nothing to shoot when you need it most at the range or in the field.

All depends if you max out loads for me I normally load less then max I know my rifle and full size after 7 rounds, of course some may not need it however hate loading a batch and have some not chamber so I establish a routine and stick with it.

There is no "should" to it, and there is no formula. As with virtually everything in reloading, it's a results oriented thing; do what your rig needs done.
