How many "Wal-Mart" guns do you own?

ZERO! NONE! NEVER! I will not spend a penny in Wal Mart or Sams Club. They are the reason our quality of goods has plummeted in recent years. Retailers feel they have to compete with WW on price and so buy junk to sell us instead of taking "the high road" and ignoring the slum bait and providing quality goods at sustainable prices. I'd rather drive my twelve year old SAAB than a new KIA. Who in their right mind would name a car for the US market "Killed In Action"? But that belongs to another rant. Sorry.:banghead:

My first gun (a GP-100) was a Wal-Mart gun. I believe that the 10/22 my wife owns was bought at Wal-Mart as well. Those are the only two I currently have in the house although I have owned others over the years.

4, Wife worked there for 10 yrs and i got 10% off on guns and ammo.

Rossi matched pair youth model .22lr/.410
Mossberg Plinker .22lr
Savage MKII .22lr
Muzzle loader .50 cal on clearance for $80

Also got lots of ammo and survival SHTF stuff on clearance.

A Savage MkII for I think $89. A good buy. Makes a good loaner gun for when me and my friends shoot (for the one who doesn't own a gun).

Got a Winchester 1400 and a Rossi M511 .22 from 'em back 20 years ago when they still sold handguns here. I have other guns that Wallyworld sells or has sold, but those are the only two I've actually purchased from 'em. I've had no issues with either gun. I wouldn't blame Wallyworld if I did, they didn't MAKE the gun, just sold it.

I tried to order a Winchester 94 there a couple of years ago, but I was too late. So instead I ordered a Marlin from Kempf's, and I've been pretty happy with it.

I still buy the occasional box of ammo at Wal-mart, but mostly I load my own.

I've never bought a gun there.

I have a Marlin 60 that the original owner probably got there. I'm not sure if I can check the source. I'm at least 3rd owner. The gun had little to no use though.

I have an SKS that I'm second owner & was told it came from Wal-Mart.
I can verify that source. Thanks to Rodney King someone bought it & gave it to me along with some ammo. That was my first chinese bra & last real cosmoline removal session. I was a shotgun guy back then anyway.

Most wal-marts here only have the ammo.

Later,

No it's not............ the retailers simply supply what the consumer demands. But by all means continue to pay high dollar for the same stuff if you insist. Don't believe me.........just take a trip to some overseas plants and watch the workers tagging items with WalMart, Neiman Marcus, and Saks labels at the same plant on the same assemble line. I worry about my wallet, not the local dealers wallet.

I bought a Mossberg 500 20ga there about 10 yrs ago for my sons to start hunting with. It's taken down plenty of hogs and a good number of skeet since then.

2 Remington ADL's (.243 and .30-06)
One Charles Daly Multi Mag 3.5" semiauto (No longer own this one)
One Marlin Model 25MN that I traded for a 10/22.
One CVA Optima Muzzleloader (tackdriver)
I've got no qualms with buying guns from walmart and will buy more if they keep selling them and have something I want at a good price.

Walmart doesn't sell anything I'd be interested in buying.

Bone stock 10/22's? *yawn* Charles Daily shotguns? *snore* Remington 710 hunting "rifles?" *zzzz*

If your local gun store is in danger of being put out of business by Walmart, then it's probably run someone without a clue.

Compared to my local Gonne Shoppe, Walmart may as well not even exist.

Zero...zip...none! I rarely walk into a Wally World anymore.

_______________

"Phydeaux, bad dog....no biscuit!"

none, their prices are the same as two of my local dealers on several different models i was looking at....so i bought them from the small gun shops.

No WallyWorld guns in my accumulation. WM is my store of last resort, and I usually find what I want/need elsewhere. I prefer to spend a few bucks more, if necessary, at the locally-owned stores and support the economy in my area.
