How much is the HIGHEST, and I mean HIGHEST price you would take away from your kids college to spend on a gun. I know this has to do more with how much you earn a year but some guys just seem to love more guns and spend more, and others just dont give it a big a deal. For some its a hobby for others their lives.

ZERO!

I love my guns and want more, but my daughters education is paramount and I will do anything and do without anything to ensure she gets all the education she is capable of absorbing.

Nothing. My kids are the most important people in my life. I love them more then anything else. Their education is much more important than my hobby.

However much I needed to get the gun.

I go to work every day to a job I hate so that my kids can go to college.

I work at a university and get a 75% discount on their tuition when they're finally old enough to go. My 45+ hrs/week of hell is their college fund, so to speak. If I need a few hundred $$ to buy something that'll give me a few hours escape from hell from time to time, I'll do it.

I'm guessing this thread didn't just come out of thin air. How much are you looking to raid the college fund for, and what kind of gun do you plan to buy with it, Nibb?

To heck with the kids! They can learn a lot about life by watching My selfish, uncontrolable greed....Essex

No Kids Yet!

I don't have kids yet.
But when I bought my first two guns in January 2007 I used the investment money I would be putting into stocks for retirement. I told my wife that the guns were an investment "like buying gold" for security.

Now considering the recent downturn in the market I made a wise financial decision. right?

The problem is now I want to buy more.

I don't know what two firearms you bought, but if you bought the vast majority of what's available you lied to your wife and have a poor financial advisor.

No kids, no wife, no dog. I get to spend $$$ on the guns I want, or whatever else. I dropped $2700 on a couple Uzis. Nobody went hungry.

All of it..........................

My parents never got any of us any sort of college fund whatsoever. They're expecting me to get scholarships, but I'll probably join the Army.

When I have kids, I dont know if they'll get a college fund, either. If they did, and I wanted a gun, I'd take out a little bit I guess, as long as I can pay it back readily, or it was surplus money.
