How much did you spend on "The Hobby" last year?

I've already spent about $500 dollars on powder, primers and bullets so far this year. I don't have a complete total for all the other expenses such as holsters, range fees, cleaning supplies, etc., but between that stuff and the Bushmaster AR-15 that is being saved for I figure my total for the year will come in around $3000 or so.

Last year was a "good" year .... thank G- I didn't save any receipts for the wife to find! 5K is probably way short, but I'm sticking to it.

Around $4500 last year. Only about $1200 so far this year--I'm slowing down or I finally realized that the secret to happiness is to "Want What You Have!"
But...I still want a SIG P245!!

Less than I paid for my pickup.
What I spent represents HUNDREDS of hours of overtime, possibly in the low thousands of hours.

Crap! Just a quick run through in my head:

Two handguns: $658
Extra mag for 9mm (15rd): $50
Decent holster: $35
Ammo: 3 bricks of .22lr and a buttload of 9mm thanks to Wally World's $10.96/100 and Bass Pro Shop's $3.88/50 sale. Let's see..... *grabs calculator*

......9 boxes from BPS = $34.92
plus
...... approximately 16 boxes from Wally = $175.36
THEN add tax

*punches some numbers..........looks at calculator.........shakes head....adds it all up again.........looks at total again...............passes out*

Way too much money for 3 months. This sucks. I'm still planning on getting a shotgun, that will send me over the $1000 mark.

Oh, wait, I'm single. It doesn't matter as long as the bills are paid! :D

Ok lets think.....

around 900 on just firearms.

1000 rounds at BPS 85 dollars
20 rounds for M44, 10 bucks
approx 800 rounds of .40 at approx 10 per 50, 160 dollars

Ouch, thats just around 3 months as well. Luckly single as well....all bills paid for every month, gas in car, food on table, one loan payment, and a touch back to savings.

:neener: no credit cards for me....ala Dave Ramsey :D

Oh, and I work at a non profit, so i dont profit....believe me

Couple of hundred in ammo, new scope and new Savage deer rifle. About $600 all total. Call it eleven hundred counting sales tax, ammo tax, social security tax, medicare tax, state income tax and Federal income tax. We'll skip the gasoline tax for the trips to the range.

Schumer, Clinton and Kennedy should thank me for so generously supporting the welfare programs don't you think? Do you suppose they'd want me to buy a mini Uzi? For a $5000 gun that would be about $3500 in additional payroll deductions and sales taxes and the $200 transfer stamp so they could keep a single mother of five in the lap of luxury for nearly a month on it.

no credit cards for me....ala Dave Ramsey

Dave rules

This year i got the patch about $500 to date. I did buy an ak but "she" made me sell one to buy one.:fire: :cuss: :banghead:
