I'll be 28 on March 25. That's enough time for all of you to get together on a "group gift buy" for me, right? LOL.

I'll take a new Para 14-45 with an extra hi-cap magazine and a case of pratice ammo. Oh yeah, and enough Hydroshoks to keep the magazines full. :D

Nice to see I'm in the majority here (ages 26-35). I always thought my age group was part of the minority, as many of the people I know in my age group either don't care to learn to shoot or are out-right anti-gun altogether.

Me: I've been shooting rifles since age 14 and pistols since age 16.

P.S. (J/K on the "group gift," but y'all are welcome to if you insist :p )

Let's see .... old enough to remember...

Bread, eggs, milk delivered to your house by horse-drawn wagons.

Phone numbers like 672 and 504-W and many did not have a phone.

Homes heated with coal - and - a few days after a snowstorm the snow would be black with soot.

Christmas trees with real candles on them (What *were* we thinking?)

Junk man would come by ever few months (also in a horse and wagon) and he'd buy your old newspapers for a few pennies - which us kids were allowed to keep.

VJ Day - the War was over and my brother might make it home after all. (He did, with a Purple Heart and a Silver Star and scars he carried all his days.) Friends of the family: Jackie came home from a German POW camp; Jimmy came home later on from a VA hospital where they taught him how to get around after he was blinded on Iwo Jima.

A Honor Roll in the center of town listing all who were serving in the Armed Forces - every week, more gold stars would be placed alongside some names.

Diners that served horse meat - not rationed, you see. Tasted pretty good, people said.

Hearing on the radio that President Roosevelt died. Nobody knew anything about this Harry Truman person.

Eastern War Time (double Daylight Savings Time) - stayed light really late at night.

Good school teachers and Heaven help you if you if you misbehaved.

There's more but that's enough for now...

28, and creakier than a rusted tin man! god i hate arthritis

that's a good portion of why my enjoyment of guns has been mostly confined to non-hunting situation, if i went hunting i'd be so tore up by half way through a day that i'd not be enjoying the trip.

oh well guess i'll have to stick to semi stationary shooting sports like the local prone matches and maybe silhouette.

I'll be 55 this April. The only thing that slows down my shooting is my vision. I've found opticals help considerable. Most of the guys I run into at the range are a little younger than I... by a few years...but not many. Thats OK. I like being around energetic people. I plan to keep shooting, hunting, and reloading for a long time because I want to be active while my grandson is learning about this FREEDOM we have. Pass it on!
Mark.

33 for now. My wife might let me live to see 34 if I don't buy anymore guns for a while. Ummm, how long is a while? :D

glock19fan...

Lets see, you are admitting you are only 17 soon to be 18 and you OWN a glock 19. That makes things very ODD. If I am correct, which I AM. You are in possession of this gun illegally. This is a Federal law. Another post you claim to be selling handgun ammo. Once again illegal if you are under 18, and most states 21. Yes I am a law enforcement officer. So either you are lying about your age or you are lying about owning a glock, maybe you think you are cool to own a Glock. Either way you are a liar or a criminal.

Woah there BadAndy13! While you were busy accusing someone of being a liar or a criminal did you ever stop to consider that "his" Glock may currently be in the possesion of his parents until he is old enough to legally own it. No need for hostilities around here. It's that kind of hard-ass attitude that makes people weary of LEO's. (If in fact you really are one. After reading 3 of of your previous posts I hope you are not.)

48. Old enough to remember Bob Seger's East Side Story. And actually being an Ozzy fan about 34 years ago. Of course it was for Iron Man back then, along with everything else on the Paranoid album.

tarrigoni, I know how you feel. I'll be 28 in March, but they say you're only as old as you feel.

With all the stress I deal with in my life.....Oh sh**!.....I'm screwed!

Just turned 59 and mostly enjoying my Advanced Youth.

Let's see, since getting involved in this sport this time last year, I've accumulated a variety of shooting implements and am enjoying them all. A brace of shotguns for (trying to shoot) trap; several .22 and 9mm pistols for target shooting; and most recently a .22 rifle for smallbore target. I guess you might say I'm trying to make up for lost opportunity when I was truly a youth. Better late than never.

And, I live with computers. One of the implementers of PC technology where I work when they first hit the scene. :neener: That's why I prefer Mac. :D

Peace.

But are you also a curmudgeon and reprobate?

I plan to work on those virtues in the near future. Right now I'm perfecting my geezerhood. I actually managed to beg a martini in a campground this month -- you walk around with an empty glass and admire trucks, campers, dogs, etc. :D
