i did do some push ups and some upper body exercises the week before going to the range. one thing i didn't do was use my grip exerciser..When i did that a week before a range session last year my hands were more shakey and tremulous.
Shooting the poly pistols then going to the 1911 drill I noticed that after the session the various muscles were in protest. Read that as sore. Since then I do the exercises to accommodate the heavier 1911. I find that these regular focused exercises in addition to the usual workout routine improves stability and the onset of arm-shoulder fatigue allows me to shoot more comfortably.
