I used to live in Douglas County, south of Denver. I lived there for several years but my company moved me as well. I say move there. It is wonderful, and still very gun friendly. Go for it! Oh yeah, buy a Jeep Wrangler and head into the mountains!

When I was there I found out that a CCW permit puts you in an undistinguished category of "person of interest" when being pulled over. This category also includes felons, etc. They said it resulted in a guns drawn type of situation when being pulled over. I never bothered to get my permit when there for that reason. Outside of the metro area they are very gun friendly.
Not anymore. State law took the database away from the State Patrol. When I was there I found out that a CCW permit puts you in an undistinguished category of "person of interest" when being pulled over.
As stated above, outside of Boulder and Denver you are GTG. They even have a town named Rifle!!
I don't believe that *ALL* Sheriffs stated that. So be aware and be careful. Our state is on a very slippery slope downhill towards looking more and more like California...
There is no way for them to enforce the magazine law as magazines are typically not dated. It was a stupid "feel good" laws promoted by carpet baggers that are now recalled, and out of office.Sheriffs' have been ignoring the magazine law.
