How the heck do you use a debit card for cmmg inc purchases?

They say they accept debit cards but when ordering online, there is nothing that asks for debit card info.

Anybody ever done business with them?


I just emailed them asking what to do but I thought I'd post this to get a quicker response.

BTW, I'm new to this whole online buying seen. I'm the type of person who likes face to face, crispy green ca$h in hand, product in the other, type of transactions.

Does your debit card have a Visa or Mastercard logo on it?

If so you use it just like a regular credit card.

If not you won't be able to use it for online purchases without giving your PIN number away and you REALLY don't want to do that.

yes it's master card.

Then just use it like a regular credit card. Only difference is the money leaves your account quicker without you having to pay anyone.

It's pretty handy but there is no special process. Just click "credit" and fill in the blanks.

A debit card with a Visa or Mastercard logo runs just like a credit transaction only the funds are taken directly from your bank account. In transactions where you enter a PIN, the funds are deducted right away, at the speed of the computer(s). When run as a credit the time can vary, from a few hours to a few days, depending on when the merchant puts the transaction into the system.

Unless you truly trust the merchant, a credit card is better as there is protection from fraud, failure to deliver the goods, defects, etc. You don't get all of these protections with a debit card.

+1, In fact I will not use a debit card for anything. We pay our credit card (we only use one) in full every month, so I see no reason to invite the risk and exposure of a debit card.
