Hi reloaders,

I just got some Laser cast 200 gr LSWC and after consulting the Speer manual it only has a load for the Speer LSWC. My Lee book only identifies 200gr lead bullets. Will either one's load data work with these bullets?

Thanks in advance for your help

In a handgun, when both bullets are lead (no jacket thickness variable) the pressures are low enough, it really doesn't matter. The bearing surface of both bullets is also similar. As long as you aren't maxing out the loads, the margin of safety is quite large.

The only real difference may be a slight amount in the Over All Length.

Good Luck...

Joe

Pay attention to OAL and the taper crimp you apply. When I started loading I didn't put much of a taper crimp on'em and they wouldn't feed 100%. I played with the OAL (I like 1.255) and placed a very slight taper on them and now they're 100% in all of my .45's. BTW, 5.0 gr of 231 is a good all around load.
